The Springboks will host the Wallabies in South Africa this week, with the match beginning at 1:05am AEST on Sunday 2 October.

The majority of Australian states are going to switch over to daylight savings time on Sunday, however, that switch doesn’t occur until after the scheduled kick-off time.

So, it will still be AEST when the match beings – though for many Australians, we’ll be into AEDT by the time the match comes to an end.

The teams named for the match are as follows:

Bench: Bongi Mbonambi, Steven Kitshoff, Julain Redelinghuys, Lood de Jager, Willem Alberts, Jaco Kriel, Lionel Mapoe, Willie le Roux.

The match presents an opportunity for the Wallabies to get their third straight win, and to break a long-standing run of losses at the venue – Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria.

The Wallabies were having the season from hell this year with five consecutive losses, three against England and two against the All Blacks, before finally getting on the winners list with recent wins at home against Argentina and the Springboks.

They now face those same two opponents on foreign soil – the Springboks today, and Argentina next week at Twickenham.

They’ll be hoping to build some good form with two more wins there before beginning a tour of Europe to close out 2016.
