Perth Spirit will be looking to break into the top four of the NRC ladder when they host defending champions Brisbane City.

Coming off a 24-point loss to the New South Wales Country Eagles, the Spirit missed out on a chance to make the four.

However, a win against the struggling defending champions Brisbane City could get them there in a tight season.

The Spirit will be boosted by the returns of Pek Cowan, Heath Tessmann, Ryan Louwrens and Bill Meakes, who are all back into the starting squad. However, Perth will be without Jono lance.

After a dominant 2015 season, the Brisbane City find themselves going from champions to possible wooden spooners.

Coming off a six-point loss to the Sydney Rays, Brisbane City have failed to win a single game since Round 2.

Jayden Ngamanu starts at fullback against the Spirit, whle Tuaina Tualima replaces the injured Jake de Guingand on the bench.

The last time these two sides played was in Brisbane last season. The home side won by 13-points in a low scoring affair.

Prediction
Perth Spirit know that this is a big chance to get into the four, and with just a couple of games left in the season, they still have plenty to play for. Brisbane on the other hand, look as though they have given up.
