What draft picks does each AFL club have before trade period begins?

The AFL free agency and trade period is just around the corner! But which drafts picks does your club have to wheel and deal with? We’ve got every club’s 2016 draft picks before the beginning of free agency and trades listed here.

Adelaide Crows
13, 49, 67, 85, 103, 121

Knocked out in the semi-finals, the Crows were awarded the 13th pick in each round. They’re missing their second round pick, No.31, having traded it to GWS for Curtly Hampton last year.

Brisbane Lions
2, 20, 28, 47, 56, 74, 92, 110

Finishing 17th, the Brisbane Lions were awarded the second pick each round. They have an extra pick in the second round and some shuffling of later picks due to deals involving James Aish, Jarrad Jansen and Josh Walker last year.

Carlton Blues
5, 23, 41, 54, 77, 95, 113

Finishing 14th, the Carlton Blues were awarded the fifth pick in each round. They have pick 54 instead of 59 due to a shuffling of picks with the Western Bulldogs last year.

Collingwood Magpies
25, 43, 61, 79, 97, 115

The Collingwood Magpies finished 12th and were awarded the seventh pick in each round. However, they traded their first pick, No.7 overall, to GWS as part of the Adam Treloar deal last year.

Essendon Bombers
1, 19, 37, 55, 73, 91, 109

The Essendon Bombers finished with the wooden spoon in 18th and were awarded the first pick in each round.

Fremantle Dockers
3, 39, 57, 75, 93, 111

The Fremantle Dockers finished 16th and were awarded the third pick in each round. They traded their second-round pick, No.21 overall, to Gold Coast as part of a pick exchange last year.

Geelong Cats
34, 38, 52, 70, 87, 88, 106, 124

The Geelong Cats were knocked out in the preliminary finals and awarded the 16th pick in each round. However, they traded their first pick, No.16 overall, to Carlton last year for Lachie Henderson, who on-traded it to GWS. They have additional third and fifth round picks from trades last year.

Gold Coast Suns
4, 8, 21, 22, 24, 27, 40, 58, 76, 94, 112

The Gold Coast Suns finished 15th and were awarded the fourth pick in each round. However they also have a wealth of picks acquired from other clubs in trades last year, most notably, No.8 from Melbourne.

GWS Giants
7, 15, 16, 31, 33, 51, 69, 105, 123

The GWS Giants were knocked out in the preliminary finals, and awarded the 15th pick in each round. However, they’ve got a number of picks acquired from other clubs last year, including No.7 from Collingwood and No.16 from Geelong (via Carlton).

Hawthorn Hawks
14, 32, 50, 68, 86, 104, 122

The Hawthorn Hawks were knocked out in the semi-finals, and awarded the 14th pick in each round.

Melbourne Demons
26, 44, 62, 80, 98, 116

The Melbourne Demons finished 11th and were awarded the 8th pick in each round. However, having traded their first pick, No.8, to Gold Coast last year, they don’t enter the draft until No.26.

North Melbourne Kangaroos
11, 29, 65, 83, 101, 119

North Melbourne were knocked out during the elimination finals and awarded the 11th pick in each round. They traded their third round pick to Brisbane last year.

Port Adelaide Power
9, 45, 63, 81, 99, 117

Port Adelaide finished tenth and were awarded the ninth pick in each round. They traded their second pick to Gold Coast as part of a deal to secure Charlie Dixon last year.

Richmond Tigers
6, 42, 60, 78, 96, 114

The Richmond Tigers finished 13th and were awarded the sixth pick in each round. They traded their second pick to Gold Coast as part of a deal that saw them eventually acquire Chris Yarran last year.

St Kilda Saints
10, 46, 64, 82, 100, 118

The St Kilda Saints finished ninth and were awarded the tenth pick in each round. They traded their second round pick to Collingwood for Nathan Freeman last year, before Collingwood on-traded it to Brisbane.

Sydney Swans
17, 35, 53, 89, 107, 125

The Sydney Swans were the runners-up, and were awarded the 17th pick in each round. They traded their fourth round pick to the Western Bulldogs last year in the deal to secure Michael Talia.

West Coast Eagles
12, 30, 48, 66, 84, 102, 120

The West Coast Eagles were knocked out during the elimination finals, and awarded the 12th pick in each round.

Western Bulldogs
18, 36, 59, 71, 72, 90, 108, 126

The Western Bulldogs finished the 2016 season as premiers, and awarded the 18th pick in each round. They swapped some late picks with Carlton and Sydney last year.
