Barcelona will be looking to remain atop Group C in the Champions League when they host Manchester City at Camp Nou. Join The Roar from 5:45am (AEDT) for live scores.

Currently fourth on the La Liga table, Barcelona’s recent form has been underwhelming by their lofty standards.

However, coming off a 4-nil thrashing over Deportivo La Coruna after losing to Celta Vigo, Barcelona’s season looks to finally be back on track.

Rafinha netted twice for his side, before Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi also added their names to the score sheet.

Barcelona will be full of confidence against Manchester City. The last four times they met them was in the Champions League Round of 16, and they won all four times.

Moreover, they are unbeaten their last 20 home Champions League group games, with their last loss coming back in 2009.

Manchester City currently lead the English Premier League, and will be looking to take their league success into the Champions League.

However, City have slowed down in attack and defence lately, with sloppy mistakes costing them crucial points against Everton in their last fixture, and Celtic in their last Champions League match.

Losing six of their last eight games in Spain, City will not have history on their side. The last time they won in Spain was against Sevilla in November last year.

The last time these two sides played was in March of 2015, in the Round of 16. Ivan Raktic’s early goal saw Barcelona through to the quarter-Final 3-1 on aggregate.

Prediction
Barcelona at home are a side to be reckoned with. If they can continue their form from last week, they should come away with another win against the Citizens. Manchester City’s best chance is to stay tight in defence and look to counter.

Barcelona 2 – 0 Manchester City
