One’s an NBA champion, the other is a 16-year-old kid trying to make it big on the ATP tennis tour.

They both share the same name and are related.

The teenage Matthew Dellavedova laughed when he told The Cairns Post that it would be nice to be able to type his name into google and see his own face.

Instead, he has to settle for seeing his second cousin Delly carving up in the NBA – originally for the Cleveland Cavaliers and Now the Milwaukee Bucks.

The younger Dellavedova’s father, Peter is the first cousin of the older Dellavedova’s Dad, Mark. The two grew up together and obviously both liked the named Matthew.

16-year-old Matthew is plying his trade on the tennis circuit. It’s early days. He has a world singles ranking of 1640 after scoring his first points and has made $54 in prizemoney, barely enough to buy a case of Coronas (older Matthew’s beer of choice).

“It’s pretty cool having him as a cousin actually, even though I don’t see him much because he’s always in the States,” tennis Matthew told News Limited.

“He’s a good role model and I like it when he gets success because in a way it drives me to make my name a bit more.

Delly in America has just signed a $38 million dollar contract with the Bucks.

Hopefully, tennis Matthew can climb up the ranks on the ATP circuit so we can have two Aussie world beaters.
