It’s one of the most important parts of Melbourne Cup Day – the office sweep.

Organising one can be a bit of a hassle, so we’ve put together a list of some of the best sweeps out there so you don’t have to search around too much.

The printable sweep is the traditional way to go, and plenty of publications have you covered for this option.

Fairfax’s the Age have a nice printable option, complete with life-like jockey colours for each horse.

Punters.com.au have a similar option, although they’ve gone with graphics for their jockey silks, as has Just Horse Racing.

Racenet’s printable sweep starts with their rather dull-looking table with a list of each of the horses, but their individual tokens are complete with each rider’s colours as well.

On a side note, you can also check out the full Melbourne Cup Field right here on The Roar.

All of these sweeps are free to download, so all you really need is a colour printer and a pair of scissors to cut out the tokens, and you’re set.

Now, if the traditional method is a bit out-dated for your taste, or if you just find doing everything online much easier, there are those options available as well.

One such provider is Cup Sweep. They are a pretty decent option for the massive offices out there, being able to accommodate up to 12,000 participants in a single sweep. Such an option will come at a cost – a 50-person sweep costs $25, while a 5000-person one is priced at $99.

However, if you’ve got 24 people or fewer in your office, it’s free, which is always nice.

Another online option comes courtesy of the Herald Sun. You just enter in how many participants you have and the buy-in, enter everyone’s names, and it will do the calculations for the total prize, as well as how much the first, second, third and last place-getter receives.

It then creates a PDF for you to print out and hand out around the office. Neat!

As always, be sure to stay locked on The Roar for the rest of your Melbourne Cup Day needs with all the best coverage.
