Kane Elgey completes what is the best spine in the NRL hands down.

While the Storm, Sharks and Cowboys all have strong spines, Elgey is the glue in what will become the best spine in the Comp.

Although other young halves have enjoyed much more praise, the best young half we have seen has received little.

Elgey is the youngest complete package I have ever seen and if he picks up where he left off will add to a spine including Dave Taylor, Nathan Peats and Jarryd Hayne.

With a front row tower scoring tries like Ryan James did and a lack of speed bumps in the squad the Titans are destined for a top four spot and deservedly so.

They have a side that screams ‘I’m about to prove myself’ mixed with young guns who believe we have not seen the best rugby league can produce.

People are hailing the Panthers as the NRL’s exciting up and comers which is true but I see your Panthers 2017 squad and raise you with the Titans.

The Titans will go close to being the next premiers and their halves should become the front runners for Queensland’s next great halves pairing.

If the 6, 7 and 9 ensure they run the show and force Hayne to be the supporting threat that creates tries and space for others the Titans will be a serious force.

Hayne will fulfill his potential not by being the best player every game but by being the best support player the game has seen. Jarryd, see Billy Slater for tips.

People underestimating Elgey are why the Titans will dominate. I can’t wait for the rugby league nursery of this area to finally see it’s just rewards.

The fans will follow in a big way and look for Skilled Park to be one of the great spots to see league at its finest in 2017.

I can’t wait for the rest of the league community to realise how exciting 2017 is about to be.

The Gold Coast is a rugby league diehard region and is about time the rest of the comp saw that!
