After the debacle that was the second Test between Australia and South Africa, there have been calls for wholesale changes to Australia’s team. So, we’re asking you who should walk out for the third Test at the Adelaide Oval.

If you want, you can pick the same XI which was annihilated by the Proteas in Hobart, or you could go in the complete opposite direction and opt for an entirely new side – it’s entirely up to you!

A few notes before you get started: We’ve split the side into four categories for you to pick. You’ll need to select two opening batsmen, four middle-order batsmen (including an all-rounder if you so choose), one wicketkeeper, and four bowlers.

The incumbent players are at the top of each section, followed by all the remaining players listed in alphabetical order by their last name.

If your preferred option isn’t available, you’ll have to select “Someone else,” although we have been pretty comprehensive in our list of players.

While both Peter Siddle and Shaun Marsh were ruled out of the Hobart Test through injury, we’ve listed them as available for the third match of the series, even though a fair bit of uncertainty remains around their fitness. Feel free to choose them if you’d like to see them rushed back into the side.

Other than that, it’s up to you. You can opt for an all-out pace attack to take advantage of the pink ball, or even go left of field and choose a number of tweakers.

There are plenty of young batsmen available to pick, with Cameron Bancroft, Peter Handscomb, Jake Lehmann and Kurtis Patterson all listed, as is Western Australia’s up and coming gloveman, Sam Whiteman.

Or you could opt for experience – does Cameron White deserve a long-awaited Test recall for his excellent start to the season? We’ll leave that, and all the other selection questions, up to you.

Voting will close at 4:00pm on Thursday, November 17, so be sure to have you say before then and keep it locked on The Roar for the results which will be published on Friday.
