Despite Australia losing heavily to South Africa, coach Darren Lehmann was still able to have a laugh.

Lehmann was in a jovial mood when reporters quizzed him about the potential for his son to be selected for the third Test in Adelaide.

“I don’t sit in on anything when they [selectors] talk about Jake,” Lehmann said.

“I don’t know what they’re saying about Jake.

“ [I’m] not involved, and I’d be that nervous anyway I probably wouldn’t be coach, I’d probably just go to the bar.”

Lehmann wasn’t in quite as funny of a mood the previous three days as his Australia side were embarrassed by South Africa in Hobart.

The Proteas ran away with the victory by a whopping innings and 80 runs as fears of a first ever whitewash against the Aussies on home soil began to be realised.

Many Australian players will be nervous about their potential omission fro the side as Lehmann goes back to the drawing board with selections for the third and final test of the series.
