Match result: The Kings fall for just the second time at home as Daniel Johnson leads the 36ers with 22 points. The offensive firepower was too much for Sydney as Randle also finished with 20 points off 53 per cent shooting.

The Kings were once again led by Kevin Lisch who finished with 25 points, 8 rebounds and six assists.

Sydney have now lost three of their past four games as the 36ers pick up their fifth win of the season.

Game Preview

A last-second three-pointer from US import Casper Ware buried the Kings on Saturday night against Melbourne United, however they didn’t go down without a fight.

Brad Newley continued his sensational scoring form this season, dropping 29 points while shooting an efficient 66 per cent from the field.

But the Kings didn’t get their usual production from guards Jason Cadee and Kevin Lisch, who combined to score only 20 points on 26 per cent shooting.

Adelaide, on the other hand, had no problem putting the ball into the hoop against Brisbane, scoring 101 points in their rout of the Bullets on Thursday night.

Jerome Randle lead all scorers with 22 points while Nathan Sobey and Daniel Johnson each chipped in with 18 as the 36ers blew the Bullets out of the water in the first half.

Brisbane never recovered from the 19-point deficit but Adelaide remain rooted to the bottom of the NBL ladder with a 4-6 record entering the last game of Round 8.

Meanwhile, Sydney still sit atop the NBL ladder with eight wins and five losses, with two of those losses coming in the last three games.

But if Sydney are to stop their temporary slump in form, they’ve got a good chance on their home court.

The Kings have played four of their past five games on the road and will be looking to re-ignite their season.

Despite sitting at opposite ends of the NBL ladder, there are only four wins between the two sides as they enter the clash tonight.

Expect an exciting contest between Kevin Lisch and Jerome Randle, as both players rank inside the top five in scoring across the league.

It shouldn’t be any problem for either side to score – Sydney are at home and Adelaide will look to continue their hot shooting – but the game could eventually be decided on the defensive end of the floor.

Sydney are yet to concede more than 100 points this season, but that could be put to the test if Adelaide continue their form from their clash against Brisbane.

However, if the 36ers don’t come prepared for the game, it could be another home win for the Kings.

With the extra motivation of a tight loss to Melbourne United behind them, they look to be favourites heading into the game tonight.

Will the Kings be able to bounce back against the 36ers? Or will Adelaide continue pouring in the points?
