The wife of FFA boss David Gallop’s diary has been release to the public in a Roar faux exclusive.

Monday 28th November
Had an interesting day. D.G had a free day so decided to come grocery shopping with me. All was going well until he informed me that he would be using NCIP protocols. There was quite the scene as he proceeded to replace most of the trolley with Dick Smith products.

Dinners will be a little blander this week but it will keep him happy. Maybe I can use this as a bargaining chip in our ongoing discussion about the garden beds.

I really want a nice, two-tiered terrace under the kitchen window. D.G is insistent that this will happen over time but the priority at the moment is to expand the current garden bed and put more of the same plants in.

I can just about see his point of view but it will make the garden look a little “samey” and repetitive. I’m sure we’ll find a way to sort it out.

Tuesday 29th November
DG received a lovely letter from the child he has been sponsoring. He’s doing well and loved the shirt and scarf we sent him. He was wondering if he could meet us when we get to Melbourne tomorrow.

I told DG that it would be lovely to catch up with him but he seemed slightly disinterested. I really don’t understand him sometimes, it’s so frustrating. He takes on these projects with such conviction but seems to lose interest so quickly.

It must be hard for young Yoshi, to receive so much attention and then to seemingly be discarded. I must remember to send him another copy of Timmy’s book; we seem to have rather a lot of them in the back room.

Wednesday 30th November
To Melbourne! Had a lovely evening at the football. Was great to catch up with Timmy again, there’s certainly a bit of ‘Man-love’ there with DG and him but who can blame him? Such a wonderful, giving person.

I was so pleased when he scored a goal, won the cup and saved some blushes among DG’s friends.

Rather worried about the fate of the seagull that was so horribly brutalised. They do so much to give to society removing waste food, providing a distraction from Graham’s histrionics and recycling Osama Malik’s hair for nesting. They really should be protected.

Bumped into Steven L afterwards, haven’t seen him for a while. He’s a very quiet man and we hardly ever see him out and about.

That’s the problem when you have a famous father, so hard to step out from his shadow. On the positive side nobody fell over, always a bonus.

Thursday 24th November
Had a lovely BBQ lunch, DG invited Ange, Timmy and some others over to celebrate last night’s legacy moment. Ange took over cooking duties, possibly not his best idea, it was rather warm and his white shirt and tie combination were probably not ideal for the task, although I can confirm that he has no tattoos or piercings on his upper body.

There was a bit of a strange moment when Bruno came up to me at the end of the afternoon. “Thank you for the lovely BBQ, thank you for the fine salads and good quality steak. Thank you for the wonderful array of Dick Smith condiments and the refreshing drinks. F*** off”.

Obviously he apologised profusely once his error was pointed out, must have been a mild cultural misunderstanding. Once they had all left I noticed a lot of long blond hair on one of the couches.

Initially I thought DG might have been ‘entertaining’ while I was out shopping but it turned out that Luke has started shedding as his summer hair comes in.

Saturday third December
A most eventful evening. Had a few people over for a games night and all was going well until the charades. We got half way through and there had been some really good performances but things got ugly after Jade got up to mime ‘The Fall’ I’m not exactly sure what happened, maybe he whispered a clue to his side, but Bruno and John were incensed!

There were no such scenes after Bruno had done ‘The slap’ earlier but things escalated rapidly and I had to step in (D.G having conveniently left the room) I don’t think the two Johns will be visiting at the same time for a while.

Monday fifth December
Got a bit of a shock today. Went to the far end of town to do a spot of shopping at The Long White Cloud international grocers and noticed the Ernie wasn’t behind the counter. It turns out that he resigned!

I know that it’s not the most popular shop around and the shelves are a little bit on the sparse side but he was such a lovely man. Later I discovered that the manager of the chain had resigned too, what a day.

Tuesday sixth December
Really worried about D.G. I came home from Aqua-Zumba to find him sat in the lounge, totally naked with a large blue bow round his neck. He had what appeared to be a birthday card on his lap and there was two glasses of flat champagne on the table. He seemed to be muttering the same word over and over again.

Unfortunately he was talking so quietly that I couldn’t make out what it was but it seemed to sound like “Timmy”. After a couple of hours he got up and went upstairs to bed, it was only six o’clock! Might have to ask Ange for some advice on this one.
