Milos Ninkovic will start Sydney FC’s A-League semi-final against Perth, coach Graham Arnold has confirmed.

In a massive boost for the Sky Blues, the star Serbian playmaker has been ruled fit for Saturday’s sudden-death clash at Allianz Stadium after fully overcoming an ankle injury suffered during a nasty tackle in their final-round win over Newcastle.

“One-hundred per cent,” Arnold said on Thursday.

“He was training individually at the end of last week and if we needed to push him to play last weekend he would have been fine.

“He’s trained all week with the group and did a physical session yesterday.”

Arnold said the entire squad was fit, meaning the Glory can expect to face a full-strength Sydney side that’s already put 11 goals past them this campaign.

But fresh from the weekend’s comfortable elimination final win over Melbourne City, Kenny Lowe’s team are embracing their underdog status and declaring all the pressure is on the premiers to continue their record-breaking regular campaign.

Arnold dismissed such concerns and said if anything, the week off had provided a chance to mentally freshen up.

“Mentally, we have a mindset when we come into training every day,” Arnold said.

“We come in preparing to win the game, and we expect to win on Saturday night.

“The boys are in a fantastic mental state, and physically we’re in top shape.”
