Glenmore Park’s 8th Grade side have pulled off one of the rarest feats in all of sport on their way to winning the premiership.
Glenmore Park Cricket Club celebrated five premiership-winning sides from the 2016/17 season across their juniors and seniors but none were more impressive than the invincible effort of their 8th Grade men who went undefeated.
They took the crown in the grand final by beating Emu Plains in a thriller.
Batting first, they finished the innings with just 102 on the scoreboard. But the side managed to defend the total by bundling Emu Plains out for just 76.
While not always pretty, they got the job done time and time again and earned themselves a beer at the end of the season.
