It was a slow start for the Tigers as they kicked only two goals to four in the first term and Adelaide looked to have a hand on the cup at the first break.

However Richmond’s pressure and intensity lifted dramatically in the second term as they kicked four goals to none to take the lead.

The Tigers kicked another five goals to one in the third quarter, and at the final break they had the game all but won.

Adelaide could offer little resistance in the final term, and Richmond ran out the winners in remarkable, drought-breaking win.
