The match is set to be played at ANZ Stadium in Homebush, with kick-off scheduled for 7:15pm (AEDT) on Sunday, October 1.

The Cowboys made the finals after having results go their way in the final round and have since pulled off three upsets to make the big dance, while the Storm have been the best team all season and took out the minor premiership.

How to watch the match on TV

Unlike every other game during the NRL season, this will not be available on Fox Sports. Channel Nine have exclusive broadcasting rights to the grand final and will be covering all three matches during the day at ANZ Stadium.

However, they will break for the news between the end of the State Challenge and the beginning of the grand final, returning for the start of the entertainment at 6:30pm (AEDT).

This will give them 45 minutes to build into the game, wick kick-off at 7:15pm (AEDT).

Nine will then stay on the air through to 10pm (AEDT), which will allow for a long post-game wrap-up, including the presentation and announcement of the Clive Churchill medal winner.

As always, check your local guides if you live in regional areas, and certain states may have the game broadcast on 9Go or 9Gem. Channel Nine in high definition can be found on Channel 90, and in standard definition on Channel 91.

How to stream the match online

If you want to stream the match online, then there will be only one way to do so – through the NRL live pass, which is the NRL’s official streaming application and also offers extra exclusive content.

The application starts from $3.99 per week or $99.99 for an annual subscription, however if you are a new customer, there is also a one-week free trial available.

The NRL live pass is available on any device you may own.

The Roar will also be providing a live blog and highlights of the action.
