2017 Caulfield Cup date, start time, full field

The Caulfield Cup is one of the key lead up races to the Melbourne Cup, with the winner granted an automatic entry to the race that stops a nation. It’s scheduled to get underway at 4:30pm (AEDT) on Saturday, October 21.

4:30pm should be taken as an indicative time only, as the actual start time can vary. The race is held at the Caulfield Racecourse from which it draw it’s name.

Johannes Vermeer is the favourite to win the race at $4, with the others into relatively short prices being Humidor at $8, Bonneval at $8.50, Harlem at $9.50 and Amelie’s Star at $10.

At the other end of the scale, He’s Our Rokkii is the furthest out of anyone, priced at $126 to win.
