Time to throw your footy kit in storage, the banana peels and dirty socks can wait until next winter because the Ashes are back! Here is the all the information you need for the first Test between Australia and England.

The first of the five-Test series will be played in Brisbane at the Gabba, with the first ball to be bowled on Thursday 23 November at 11am AEDT.

The English, led by Joe Root, will be full of confidence and will look to retain the Urn after a 3-2 series victory in 2015.

Steve Smith and his men have experienced somewhat of a form slump, but are always are sure bet to put on a strong performance at home.

The weather forecast is looking worrying at best, with moderate showers forecast for the start of the week and rains continuing to linger until next week. There is about a three-day window of partly-cloudy weather which will hopefully result in some consistent play.

After the first Test, the series goes to Adelaide for the first day-night Test, then Perth, Melbourne and finally Sydney for the final of the five-match series.
