The 2017 Rugby League World Cup is drawing closer to a conclusion with only three matches left until a winner is determined. In just a few days, the semi-finals will begin, running from Friday, November 24 to Saturday, November 25.

An exciting weekend of quarter-finals has come and gone, leaving just four teams left to compete for all the glory.

The November 24 match sees Australia take on Fiji at Brisbane Stadium in Brisbane, starting at 8pm AEDT. Australia had no issues on Friday, recording a 46-0 victory against Samoa.

The Kangaroos are still looking for a challenge, and perhaps they will find it against Fiji. Fiji was not expected to reach the semi-finals, but they were able to grind out a 4-2 victory over a struggling New Zealand side on Saturday.

Despite that gritty win, it’s hard to imagine that they’ll topple the defending champions on Friday.

The November 25 match begins at 4pm AEDT at Mt Smart Stadium in Auckland and features Tonga against England.

England defeated a tough Papua New Guinea side in the quarter-finals but looked a bit unconvincing with a poor completion rate. Tonga is not without question marks either, as they were pushed by Lebanon on Saturday, barely coming away with a 24-22 victory.

Looking ahead to the final, it will be played at Brisbane Stadium on Saturday, December 2.

TV

The Seven Network will be broadcasting every game live. However, they will not all be on their main channel, Seven.

Games involving Australia’s national team, the Kangaroos, will likely be broadcast on Seven, but games not involving Australia may instead be broadcast on 7mate.

Check your local guides to see what channel the matches are being broadcast on in your area.

Live stream

There is only one option for live streaming the World Cup here in Australia – but at least it’s free.

Channel Seven hold the exclusive digital rights, meaning that you will need to use their 7Live website or mobile application to stream the action.

These applications allow you to stream all of the Seven Network channels, meaning you won’t need to download a separate application for those matches set to be shown on 7Mate.

The Roar will keep you updated on all of the weekend’s action here on the site.
