We are ten games into the NFL season and I thought it would be worth looking at the four Aussies who are plying their trade on the world’s biggest stage.

Adam Gotsis – Defensive Tackle – Denver Broncos
Gotsis has had a great second season in the NFL. His numbers are not reflective of the work he does off the ball. The Broncos are in danger of being among the worst side in the comp. They started the season 3-1, but have lost their last six games.

The numbers don’t read like a pro ball player, 27 total tackles and only one sack for a loss of four yards.

But the boy from Melbourne is a menace on the defensive line and its a scary prospect having him coming at you.

Lachlan Edwards – Punter – New York Jets
Edwards is the Jets regular Punter. He has a typical long AFL style kick on him and is capable of digging his team out of trouble. With a record of 4-6, the Jets need all the help they can get.

Edwards is also in his second year with his respective side and is on track to break all the records he set in his rookie season.

He currently sits inside the top ten for punters in 2017 with 54 punts for 2,561 yards at an average of 47.4 yards per kick. Not bad for a kid from Hastings on Melbourne’s Mornington Peninsula.

Jordan Berry – Punter – Pittsburgh Steelers
Berry is in his third year with the Steelers and is currently in the bottom five punters in the game – 28th overall. With 43 punts for a total of 1,889 yards at an average of 43.9, he is well below his best from last season.

He is still a regular with the Steelers who are pushing for an AFC title and a Super Bowl berth, but he will need to lift his game if he is to wear the black and yellow again next season.

Brad Wing – Punter – NY Giants
Wing has endured a long five years in the NFL with three different sides. The Giants are a basket case at the moment and are struggling to find their way off the bottom of the NFC East with a record of 2-8.

He sits 20th overall of Punters and will need to improve if he wants to remain in New York.

The stats don’t lie, he is a good Punter but could be better. He just plays for a team which is in a world of hurt at the moment.

His total of 54 punts for 2,432 yards at an average of 45 isn’t something to be laughed at.
