Adelaide Crows
One of two AFL teams based in South Australia, the Adelaide Crows entered the AFL Premiership in 1991 and won their first match against Hawthorn by 86 points. The Crows enjoyed terrific success in the late 90’s, winning back to back AFL flags in 1997 and 1998. Adelaide have since continued to be an AFL finals force despite an ageing list.
In 2012 the Crows will look to re-generate their playing squad under the tutelage of former Geelong assistant Brendan Sanderson, and they a positive start to his coaching stint, lifting the 2012 NAB Cup trophy after beating the West Coast Eagles at AAMI Stadium.

Mark Neeld has been hit with a cacophony of conjecture and criticism about the way his coaching tenure at the Melbourne Football Club has begun. Not only has he borne the brunt of media attacks and opinion, but also others have been dragged in to the bloodletting, namely Gary Lyon last week. Ironically, he was [...]

Adelaide coach Brenton Sanderson says Patrick Dangerfield will fill the highlight reels, but it is the AFL team’s collective ferocity that has delivered their brilliant season start. The Crows continued their upward curve after belting reigning premiers Geelong by 50 points last round, Sunday’s 69-point Etihad Stadium thrashing of Carlton in some ways even better. [...]

On six occasions this season, Geelong and the Western Bulldogs (both 4-4) have faced a team with a shorter break. For North Melbourne (3-5) it’s been seven occasions. Each year the AFL is set with the difficult task of making the schedule fair for all clubs. However, if the draw is to even out in [...]

After belting the reigning premiers by 50 points on the weekend and edging out the then-undefeated Sydney Swans in the Harbour City the weekend prior, the question must be asked. Does the Adelaide Football Club have a genuine chance of winning the premiership? I got thinking while reading an article by Rohan Connolly, which predicted [...]

Don’t stone the crows, crown them! The pre-season premiers are shaping up to be strong contenders for the title this year. Seven down and 15 to go. There’s still a long, long way to go. But I fancy the Crows. I like their individual body shapes; I like their coach; I like how they have [...]

This comes as a surprise to many who were backing clear favourite and dual-Coleman Medalist Lance Franklin, who [...]
