People bag Sonny for his opponent, but he’s got to start somewhere. The real issue is the fact that boxa promotions can sell that rubbish for 49.95 is the real problem. It is damaging to the sport, and if they were serious about not turning boxing into a circus they wouldnt sell this rubbish to the public. Its hard to imagine Sonny fighting genunine boxers while ever he’s got Mundine in his ear. He will just hand pick opponents and take no risks until he’s more that ready.

New champ Williams looking to next fight

5 years ago Johnson would have been tossed into the wilderness and never thought of again. These days he’s laughing all the way to the bank, IPL and big bash riches await. We would have to have a huge run of injuries for this bloke to get another look-in at test level, his one good game followed by five bad ones and the predictable side arm garbage he serves up with that terrible action of his.

Farewell Mitchell Johnson

Only a fool or a close mate of Sonny’s would purchase PPV for this fight. Boxa are a business and are doing what businesses do, however it is definately at the expense of world ranked aussie and kiwi fighters. Many argue that Mundine has helped revive the sport in this country in the past 10 years, but the mediocre contests he has served up to the public for the past few years has damaged the sport at a time when MMA is dominating the marketplace.

How many will watch SBW fight on pay per view?

Also Mark de Mori a heavyweight from W.A should be worth keeping an eye on, though he is stuck in a deal with Don King, and that has proved frustrating for many fringe top 10 ranked heavyweight fighters. Danny Green has showed his enormous heart and courage in 2011, but must consider his health after two serious concussions. However he did perform exceptionally well against The Polish fighter, and could be forgiven for wanting to finish his stellar career on a positive note. Its a huge year for mundine, it will make or break him, in the eyes of most fight fans. Fingers crossed he steps up and the country gets behind him.
