Thanks for the feedback

Essentially, I think there is not enough emphasis on rugby fundamentals (kicking, ruck position etc..) at a grassroots level, and too much emphasis on running rugby at all costs.

Why the Wallabies discipline is so hard to fix and you should stay on the Eddie Jones hype train a bit longer

Whilst I don’t necessarily agree with everything you’ve said, I gotta say you’re persuasive haha. All fair points

Thanks for the positive feedback!

I’d rate Hooper ahead of Underhill, Cane, Gray, Du Toit (I’m sure I’ve forgotten someone). Combination of his incredible tackle count and his high percentage of dominant hits. For example, last week he made 19 tackles missing just 1, next best had 11 (Wilson).

Why do certain Wallabies keep getting picked?

This is precisely my point but you’ve said it much better than I have

Why do certain Wallabies keep getting picked?

Why does a difference of opinion mean I know little about rugby? Seems a tad harsh mate

Personally, I think Folau is best suited to 13.

Australia is currently struggling to find a good 13 to replace Mortlock.

In recent times we’ve used Faingaa who is good but not the key player Australia needs
Horne who is incredibly overrated, doesn’t pass, is relatively quick and last year played dreadfully for the Wallabies
Ashley-Cooper who is a great utility, but not suited to 13, or any position for that matter. Best keep him as a bench player in my opinion.
Tapuai who is a great player, but is not really up to the standard of Ashley-Cooper, Faingaa and Folau.
Folau suits 13 perfectly as he is quick, agile and large. He fits the shoes of Mortlock in every way apart from the great kicking game and leadership skills which would come with more experience.

Good to see that this special form of motor racing is growing. These days, more and more Aussies are competing in F1 feeder series, such as the Formula Renault 3.5 Daniel Ricciardo has raced in for a number of years.

I gotta agree with tc here, the Waratahs definitely do not play the game of rugby that we want.

Also, how come the Waratahs never noticed Dave Harvey?
What kind of scout passes the opportunity to sign a two time Ken Catchpole medallist?
Nonetheless, a great performance from the Force, it’s always good to see Nathan Sharpe and David Pocock in action against a much stronger line up on paper.

Waratahs booed off the park after loss with Force

It’s so sad to see such a great player go down like that and end up fighting for his life
Good luck Fabrice 🙂

Brendon Goddard is a legend, and I think that he should’ve been placed a bit higher up the order.
Great list!, apart from Goddard it seems fine so far

It is great to watch thse two cycling stalwarts in action.
I can’t wait to see Gerrans beat Valverde the next time they meet in a situation like this

I agree that the scrums this season are much better, but I think Paddy O’Brien needs to work on the scrums, because if we could speed them up it would help the game alot.

What is happening to the rugby scrum, Paddy?

I think that the players are just following the money,
and of course, in most sports the money for sport is in Europe.
It is a real shame that the Super Rugby comp does not get these great players, and personally, I believe the Pacific Islanders should get a team in the Super Rugby.

Georgia is one fo the big up and comers in world rugby, and is likely to get a spot in the six nations tournament sooner or later.
One problem Georgian rugby might come across if they build this stadium is a decline in rugby.

Expansion is always good in sport but the problem Georgia will face is most of their players are over 30 and in 3 or 4 years when all of these players have retired or been dropped, Georgia will have to rebuild, and it’s always a good idea to build the stadium beofre the rebuilding phase when the team will lose to teams it usually beats such as Spain and Russia.

For the World Cup last year, Georgia chose just 3 players who were under 25 compared to champions New Zealand who were criticised for choosing a team that was too old for the World Cup who had 6 players under 25.

Georgian Rugby's stadium hurdles

This game was a captains day,
with Tasmanian captain Bailey hitting a ton, former Australian capatin Ponting getting a solid 50 and South Australian capatin Klinger taking 2 catches and scoring a 50. I think it was the captains that really made this game, not the youngsters as your article states.

Nonetheless, Australia has some quality juniors coming through the ranks and hopefully soon every Ryobi Cup match will be as entertaining as this one was.

Ryobi Cup final shows Australian cricket's depth

In a 79 minutes and 30 seconds pretty much dominated by penalty goals, it’s good that at least 30 seconds got some amazing running rugby, with the Reds youngster taking that try. I think this boy’s got a long way to come,
Hopefully, the outstanding defence shown in this game can transfer to the Four Nations, because if those are our best 2 franchises we definitely won’t win games based on the outside backs.

Shipperley ships in for Reds

Ben Buckley shouldn’t be sacked.
It’s out of his hands that Clive Palmer has gone nuts, but what can he do?

If he takes away the Gold Coast’s A-League license that’s just going to escalate the situation with Clive Palmer and Clive Palmer will most likely damage the FFA even more. If anything Frank Lowy should get sacked because he has done absolutely nothing in the whole ordeal.
