Mary, before the case went to court, he offered an undisclosed amount of compensation towards the three parties concerned. To say he hasn’t taken steps to repay is wrong. He has tried to, but obviously the victims said no.

The $1.6 Million sum is outrageous. He’s on an $80k contract with the Broncos. No way will he able to pay that entire sum within reasonable time. Just hope he stays on the right track and makes amends for what he did in other ways.

Ideally, I think it would be great if we heard his side of the story and how he has progressed as a person since 2015 and what he’s done to change his ways.

She covered 2074m, the second most of the race. Humidor ran 2066, which is around 3-4 lengths. Stunning effort by horse and rider. It’s her greatest win considering what was on the line and how much work she did

Spot on Tristan re Gallic Chieftain. I think he’s the best on the card, had him around $2.50 off his last two efforts. And agree Razzar with Thelburg. He maps super and his two jump outs leading in have been outstanding

Declaring him because he was the lone backmarker to make up the ground in the race, and in the worst part of the track. And there is so much upside with him, he’ll be better suited on a bigger track and up to the two miles will only be beneficial.

And yes, he was entitled to make ground. But he was the lone horse from the back to do that. And he was first up with enormous improvement to come.

Not as good as we all thought? Normal luck and he should be a multiple Group l winner. Stevie Wonder can see that.

Bled from one nostril first up and sometimes that scenario can have an effect on horses letting down like normal in subsequent races. Good example of that is Omei Sword. Hasn’t been the same since her bleeding attack.

He’s running out of excuses.

Disappointing for sure John. Posted on Twitter minutes before the race that I had to put something on Amelie’s Star because she looked brilliant in the yard. I think the Caulfield Cup is between Bonneval and an international, possibly Francis Of Assisi

Might be too soon for him this Spring NOIP, but he will make a lovely type in the Autumn. Derby written all over him

All depends how the track plays mate. Hard track/rail out generally means those on speed are advantaged. Concede his fresh run was very good, but that Addictive Nature form looks ordinary. Might be a sleeper for the Caulfield Guineas

They ran a track record. It was mathematically impossible for him to win. He would have had to run nearly sub 31 for his final 600m…can’t be done. If you saw him in the mounting yard, it was clear he was nowhere near wound up. For him to get that close was outstanding and the big grin from Michael Hawkes post race tells me it was a big tick

Not sure what race you were watching re The Shorts. Chautauqua was one of the runs of the day, broke 11 seconds for every furlong from the 600m. And to say disappointing? 100% wrong.

Yeah as I said, might come back to bite me. I just don’t see any improvement in him, and he does need to improve to be a Group l winner. Redzel gave him weight and still won easily. And with all due respect to Redzel, he isn’t the cream of the crop in the sprint ranks
