You know once upon a time i would be angry at this. But one day ranting about this to my mum for some reason my mum replied “Adam everyone gets crap written about you in the papers” she is right. Here is SA one-paper state apart from regional rags writers with biases towards port or crows write utter rubbish about the teams that stick the boot in just like you got peter goers writing the biggest load of tripe about Adelaide United and how they are a disgrace blah blah blah (I actually respected his writing up till that point).

That’s just a microcosm of the rest of Australia you’ll get those who love hate and are indifferent towards football that is life. We don’t need to get angry because really especially in print media they are preaching to the converted and reinforcing people’s ignorance and bigotry because alot of newspapers and writers are preaching to a different generation that the A-league is targeting one that rarely reads the newspaper because well its called the internet.

Of course we want everyone to share in our joy and passion and the gamut of emotion you feel in 90 minutes. But some you just wont and never will and to be honest we are after those who are indifferent to the game, hopefully the bug bites just like it did that sunny day at hindmarsh a few years ago in the process of getting sunburnt to all buggery.

For the record i’m an fan of the AFL and support Port Adelaide.

Cheers
Adam

Why A-League fans must stand up to anti-football brigade

It was a good night last night i watched an AUFC game without being disappointed and frustrated for the first time in ages.

The sweet feeling of winning.

Adelaide United too good for Phoenix

Liverpool planned to wear black armbands for the game against Wigan to show their support for Luis Suarez after his 8 game ban. Suarez is reportedly upset with the color of the armbands.

Liverpool's reaction to Suarez racism charge a disgrace

Wonderful article ive read many of his articles after i heard about him when he passed away R.I.P a great writer.

How Peter Roebuck inspired Ed Cowan's rise into the Test team

I’m a celtics fan and feel optimistic for this season a shorten season could be a blessing in disguise despite kevin garnett’s flippant comments about chemistry. If they stay fit and healthy the celtics could be the dark horse coming out of the east. I don’t think despite the reviews the title wont be a cakewalk for the western conference.

Who are the NBA's main contenders this season?

No wonder he went to Man City sir alex would of had him playing at peterborough by now (peterborough united where his son is managing for those playing at home).

Why always Mario Balotelli?

I resent that statement about SFC being the most frustrating team in the A-league to follow mike. The most frustrating team undoubtedly to follow in the A-league possibly in all of australian professional sports is Adelaide United. Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory is apart of who we are and we can brilliant and shit within 45 minutes. We can have no money and then lots of money but our inability to take our chance to win something remains the same the 3 finals we have being in can testify to that.

But damnit i can’t seem to stop following them even though i know frustration and heartbreak are only around the corner. 1 league title isn’t too much to ask is it maybe at a stretch 3 of them so we can stick it up those morons up the road.

Are Sydney FC the most frustrating A-League team of all?

Not much to add except cheer cheer the black and the white! up the maggies!

The 2012 Foxtel Cup announced

Union has about as much geographical coverage in england as league does just swap the heartlands and you’ve got about the same.

Summer rugby in the north on the cards?

As a fellow red i HATE victory but never had those sort of animosity towards the Heart so im with ya. The more derbies in the A-league regardless of geography the better is the life blood of football and sport.

Melbourne derby can become A-League's best

It’s simple its a new thing that people hadn’t seen before (well in this form anyway) there was warnie back on the tube for something other than his sexual exploits. Alot of people wanted to give it a go watching it on the couch to see if it was decent and worth the effort to go to a game and in my opinion it was decent cricket and for the first week not too shabby crowds.

It was a bit odd and slightly insulting to see a victorian team wear SA’s colours and shaun tait playing for them. But i like the strikers gear different colours than usual and a bit grating to not wear traditional colours but they’ll grow on me i’m sure.

Hell its not too bad we can beat the vics double the amount of times we could before. 😀

Big Bash misses with crowds, but TV ratings a hit

It seems very illogical because it really hasn’t being a improvement in Super League with tv rights crowds etc. With the technology and the groundstaff at the grounds boggy pitches are extremely rare and the standard has improved out of sight. I personally think its just the big clubs in england (wasps saints tigers etc) keeping the powers that be on their toes.

Summer rugby in the north on the cards?

It seems that tony sage said what he said in the heat of the moment. I hope he stays appoints a football director and a manager (NOT FERGUSON) and run the business and promotion side only then i think we can see the glory back to where it was pre-NSL.

A-League clubs running themselves into the ground

I like the cards i’ll always giggle when i remember a fan holding up a sign on there famous run to the superbowl a few years ago “finally a cold day in hell”.

John Skelton just keeps winning

I lol’d i feel sorry for the lads down in penrith having to put up with that opinionated twat phil gould.

Christmas gifts for your NRL team

Interesting both bellerive and york park would make suitable A-league grounds with necessary upgrades which would benefit all codes in Tasmania. The only way forward is indeed with games in hobart and launceston and we could definately steal the march on the codes like we did in the central coast.

Tasmanian franchise must be a priority for the A-League

You don’t throw money at the comp you convince other to do so. It worked in the A-league ALL the clubs are privately owned now and almost all of them are on their way to a profit or really don’t need one because of the deep pockets of its owners (e.g gold coast united). In this model ARU gets license money revenue from television which would distributed amongst the clubs and itself. The GFC never really hit Australia in the same way as it did in Europe and USA.

How about our own national competition for rugby union?

Because he is getting paid more elsewhere?

Coolen sacked as Adelaide Utd coach

I second that i’ve got quite fond of the hawkes bay mob in the top flight this year i believe. Even though my initial support was based on them sharing the colours of my beloved Port Adelaide Magpies heh.

The perfect rugby union annual schedule

No he is simply at the moment going to be the youth team coach not the much maligned gardening leave.

Coolen sacked as Adelaide Utd coach

I initially thought this was some kind of a crap joke i mean nothing happens on sunday. However its a great result rini has gone as the senior coach and now will coach the youth setup and kossie back as the gaffer if nothing he will bring back passion pride in the badge and aggression all of which has being sadly lacking under rini recently.

Coolen sacked as Adelaide Utd coach

What a refreshing attitude it has taken 30+ years for them to figure out what larry said. It would be great to see the bullets back but why do they keep on considering two teams in melbourne……..what do magic titans dragons giants all have in common all defunct melbourne teams.

Bring back the cannons and the falcons. 😀

NBL considering two new teams

What was the crowd in newie today?

Newcastle Jets vs Sydney FC: A-League live scores, blog

No it cant and people will eventually see through the gimmicks.

Its really simple bulldoze it and i think lots of rugby league fans including myself would help.

Can Homebush thrive as an NRL venue?

Your article is severely flawed olympics is meant to be a celebration of sport and athleticism. Just because a sport has lots of events does not in any way shape or form make it any lesser especially in Martial Arts actually i would argue especially Martial Arts.Taekwondo and Judo are two sports you cannot just pick up you have to work hard and to get to a olympic level you have to work at your art for all your life.Athletics has probably as many disciplines included into the olympics as judo and taekwondo has but that will never ever get questioned popularity contest anyone?.

It annoys the crap out of me how every olympics there are people lining up to pick sports to throw out. When these sports have often waited for a long time to be included in the games.Just because *insert sport* is a new one or not a traditional sport of the olympics doesnt make it any less valid.

I might not get or like certain sports in the Olympics but ill never advocate them getting thrown out because they have just as much right to be there as anyone else.Oh and your title is an insult to all those who have worked hard to get to the point where they can qualify for the olympics.Especially those who have had the honour of winning a gold medal.

I can tell you that no i mean no gold medal is given away.
