Over the last couple of weeks there has been quite a bit of fuss around making the AFL fixture more equal.
In the first one day international against South Africa, Michael Clarke re-injured his hamstring, potentially ruling him out of the first Test at the Gabba.
As we all know it’s trade season in the AFL. So far this season big names such as Paddy Ryder, Patrick Dangerfield, Dayne Beams and Jonathon Griffen have been bandied about with no apparent respect for contracts.
One of the good things Darren Lehman has changed about the Australian cricket team is we are sticking with our choices and not rotating the team around. However, not everyone in the team is playing well.
Lots of name have been thrown around for the final pace bowling spot for the Ashes. Some of the potential candidates include James Faulkner, Ben Cutting, Mitchell Johnson, James Faulkner, Josh Hazlewood, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Chadd Sayers and even Clint McKay.
It’s the feel good story Australian cricket has been looking for.
