Nice article, Benjamin. Thanks for the info regarding the Galahs. I had no idea. I always thought the games I attended in 1984 at Footy Park (West Lakes, Adelaide) were the first games.
I will hunt down the doco and watch it with interest.
Ignore the naysayers, mate. You’re right International rules is (and always has been) a great concept. Pity people can’t get behind it, just because it’s something a little different. :/

Absolutely, those records should be included. They are not even considered first class or list-A, an absolute travesty imho. 🙁
I can understand not including them in Test and ODI records, given the arguments; most of which were covered here in the comments. :/
Obviously the greatest games ever played, but that’s probably just because they occurred in my youth. 😀

Just a small point. Are you sure it’s only 1080i? Full HD is 1080p.
1080i is (for all intents and purposes) the same as 720p.
Admittedly this is still a large step up from the 576p (720i) that FTA SD is in. :/

However I think this may well be changing given the success of the BBL (and IPL and other T20 leagues).
They may not have surpassed international cricket, but they are getting close to parity. :/
And, yes, I understand the difference in format is a significant factor.
It may well further diminish the Sheffield Shield. Time will tell. :/
