I just think there is a lack of quality at the moment from both teams. Qld have lost a lot of immortals over the last 2-3 years and this new breed doesn’t scream out quality. Nathan Cleary doesn’t scream out Ricky Stuart either.
Is State of Origin getting boring?
Good torpedos but besides the torpedos I’m struggling to see what he brings to the table at the moment.
Is State of Origin getting boring?
Not so much bring back the biff, but I just don’t recall an Origin moment in defence esp from NSW. Old after half time there was a bit.
Is State of Origin getting boring?
I think the fake James Graham charge down, when he was nowhere near the ball and dived into Adam Reynolds knees and pretended it was a charge down was a joke. The reality was Cronk got hit late against Souths in the finals last year. Sure there are other examples but that one sprung to mind first. If the Graham fake charge down sprung to my mind first then i would have written that. I dont know why some fans take it as an attack on their club?
It's time to finally end the 'dog shots'
Yes correct Rob! The sport must protect players who in that moment have no way of protecting themselves. They can do this with serious punishments for offenders.
It's time to finally end the 'dog shots'
The thing is Paul, as with the case of Pangai and this one with JWH, it is clear cut. The referees have a get out clause with ‘he wrapped the arms so we are ok with the tackle’ because he ticks the one and only box. Never mind it was far far too late to say he was committed to the tackle. The bin should have been applied.
It's time to finally end the 'dog shots'
Love a conspiracy theory like the one here in the 2nd paragraph!
It's time to finally end the 'dog shots'
It’s a very American term but I also think there could be room for it in RL

Get rid of VAR. Get WSW back to Parra and need to fix that club. They helped promote the A-LEague, a weak WSW has hut the A-League. Melbourne Victory continue to do well, who else?
The A-League has six months to save itself from oblivion
Fantastic Geoff. Absolutely two unforgettable matches and memories! The 1990 match I was up with my old man snoring the living room down so i watched it on my own (with the snoring going off over the commentators) and big Mal with the winner after the Stuart break. Unforgettable!
What made you fall in love with rugby league?
Yes nice to read everyone’s ‘Genesis’ in league. It is a sport built around passion, that’s why it will always survive the negative stuff that is sadly constantly in the news. The 87 Origin series was a beauty! 91 is still my pick for best series! The Kings farewell series.
What made you fall in love with rugby league?
Personally I’d take Kogarah over Anfield, but that might be my Everton bias coming out! Great memores!
What made you fall in love with rugby league?
I was a Dogs fan butat about 13 migrated towards being a Bear. Plenty of great winter afternoons at Bear Park. Could never support Manly in a million years. Im with Pop on that one!

What made you fall in love with rugby league?
Still the greatest game of RL ive ever seen that one!
What made you fall in love with rugby league?
I wrote it cause i like looking back on sport and seeing how much it has changed. Sitting on the old hill at the SCG with blokes drinking beer straight out of the stubby and less rules. I can understand why they changed it. Sadly I also saw a guy throw a stubby that just missed an official once. So it’s not all wonderful memories. But certainly memories of League growing up in the 80s were mostly great!
What made you fall in love with rugby league?
Great story WW… Being a Souths fan start of the 70s would have been great. Then the draught came, but there was light at the end of the tunnel!
What made you fall in love with rugby league?
I used to like the footy cards that you could peel off and stick in a book. Got Trevor Coggers signature in the mid 80s cause he was dating a girl two doors up. Think his young bloke plays for Newcastle now.
What made you fall in love with rugby league?
The Fitzhenry try vs Cronulla in 2005 i watched with my old man at Bankstown Sports Club. What a beauty that was!
