First of all, let me take you guys back in time to April. Remember April? Seems a long time ago now doesn't it? The…
I feel for the Raiders but that’s a dumb excuse. Maybe Ricky should give Ivan Cleary a call.

Ok mate, lets try this one more time. I certainly do not think that the Cowboys’ entire season comes down to ONE bad call. As I have stated twice in my article, every team suffers them, refs are only human and mistakes are made.
If a team goes into a finals match and loses, then it (generally) means that they were not good enough to win. This is not about all those times that the Cowboys missed tackles or bombed tries, or even scored tries – all those things the team has control over, its why they train, and its why some teams are better than others, this really shouldn’t need saying.
Saying one call has ruined an entire season of one team is petty, and that is certainly NOT what I am trying to say. This was an interest article that highlighted the huge impact that a result of one game can have, especially when it is the result of a wrong call – something no player or team has any control over.

Because thats not the point of the article. The point was to highlight how big an effect one decision can have on the entire season.
Cowboys/ Sea Eagles was merely the example I used to show that.

That’s exactly it Boz. The Cowboys/ Sea Eagles game was used merely as an example of the cost of a poor decision

Thanks Matt. Yea, I reckon the idea of Oates on the bench has merit, as he fits the utility bill nicely, almost like Queensland’s version of Luke Lewis. Also the fact that he has previous experience in the Queensland setup means that he should adapt fairly easily.
