Yeah I’m not sure the background she came into the footy show with besides being a fan of the raiders. I definitely think they should’ve blooded a female player with a bit of personality to add game experience to the breakdowns.

I’ll all fairness Erin has worked her way up the panel over the last few years so she hasn’t popped out of nowhere to be thrown in the room. I wouldn’t say shes stood out though, she’s just been a moderator so not the best people to take over the hosting role.

Fatty does have some charm to him but it did feel he was losing a bit of the sway and would repeat a lot of his jokes or mannerisms to get a laugh last couple seasons. Not going to knock him though he was the glue keeping the show together.
I think they tipped Beau to be a worthy replacement but after years of him impersonating players, beau on the street, Beau knows it just became overkill and put people off. Cheating scandal certainly tarnished him a few years back too

to be fair it was a pretty lighthearted show and wasn’t really aiming to belt the audience with analytics

Yeah guess thats the predicament they’ll find themselves in now pumping out more Thursday games this year, problem lies in yes the show is on late, but put together a panel you’ll want to stay awake to watch

yeah I think they’ve put the work in on Fox and it’s finally paying off with people tuning it. Definitely seems like they’ve switched places with Nine

I do agree, I’ve been a fan of the show for years but I did find myself finding it easier to miss an episode over the last few seasons as it was abit too bloated with Beau Ryan segments. Now he did have his time but I think it’s definitely run its course and they overdid it on him so most viewers have had enough.
I know he gives you amazing inside know but Johns has been very flat in the episodes I’ve seen this season so the whole panel has lacked the personality to carry it from start to finish.
Definitely a bit more leg work on Nine’s behalf to find a more appropriate host would’ve gone a long way but I think they’ve put some years into Erin and didn’t want it to go to waste.

Yeah I think a complete rebrand was necessary to avoid copping the hate, keeping the Footy Show title but ditching the mainstay was a definite stuff up on Nines’ behalf.
Nine missed their chance when they let Sampson go to Fox so I think they’ve dug their heels in with Molan and I agree she’s fine as a reporter but definitely can’t carry a show based off personality alone. I think they should blood a woman who’s played at a Rep level in the role once Erin is out this year but we shall see.

With Jabari Parker out it does feel they’re missing that extra piece. Be interesting to see if the bucks can get someone else to join the squad as they do need that extra star when Giannis is on the bench. Though I see Brogdon improving more this season as a handy piece

Absolutely agree plenty of time in the season. However coming out and dropping 37 on a last seasons number 1 seed in the east still shows Giannis is coming to play. Celtics aren’t bums they’re a solid team who nearly knocked off cavs in game 1 even after losing Hayward

Yeah it’s getting abit nuts, surely the new owners are pulling their hair out with all the main card issues they’ve had but lucky this is still a solid card with Holloway stepping up on top of seeing the women’s rematch with Joanna V Rose.
