Our pass / catch skills are woeful still. How can international players pass so poorly is beyond me.
Apart from the blooper, Folau was by far our best. Always beat the first man and an attacking weapon.
Also if we had a decent front row then maybe we could have a decent foundation for ball in hand Rugby. Any of the Scot or Italian front rowers would be fine.

How well I remember the world cup final win when some of our greats such a Warne, Lehmann, Clarke and hangers on, proclaimed that Australia should celebrate hard and long the Australian way. All this while throwing sponsored stubbies around the dressing sheds on live TV.
Some of the mature players that had a few and went home to their families were ridiculed by their beer chugging mates.

I was one of the groaners at Allianz. Box kick or kick away must have been directed by DG or else why would they continually do it. I don’t like bagging coaches so I won’t, but Gibsons days are numbered.

Warner will not be dropped, regardless of his inability to perform on these tracks. And selection of Marsh would not surprise me at all. I can see the same team with the inclusion of Swepson, or Agar for Okeefe. Possibly Head to tour instead of Khawaja, who will never be picked.
What needs to be done is Lehmann to stay away and have a rest. Planting himself behind his laptop, front row of the team room with the team huddled around is a poor look. Smith needs to grow as a captain, Warner needs to stand up as a vice, but it wont happen while there is a defacto captain.

Is Maxwell an all rounder now. Only used as a part time occasional in the short game but in India he is an all rounder.

DHP drops too much ball and has a poor read in defence as was seen last year.
Folau should be FB and only FB, he is the only player that can catch, pass at speed and find gaps. Maybe Beale comes close but not DHP.
Folau is not winning the games for Tahs and WBs due to the pathetic skill sets of the forwards and inside backs. He is the game winner when given the chance.

Mergers do not work. So any attempt to appease the fans would just be a defacto take over for one side.
I prefer to keep five teams but I can see the ARU cutting the Rebels.
Any ACT Melbourne team would be typically further weakness by the ARU. Brumbies to stay unscathed.
Any future fifth team should come from Western Sydney, the fastest gowth region in Australia which will dwarf eastern Sydney within 10 years. The Waratahs need to drop the NSW location title and the ARU need to step up and spend dollars out west.

Quite happy to see these sort of conditions. The opposite will be at home with flat track treasures where useless tail enders get 50’s and countless red faced pace bowlers bang in all day long at 13 overs an hour.
We could have won this test dispite the pitch/ conditions with a bit more application on the first day.
So well done to Bangladesh. Cricket is more than we dish up every summer.
