Clarke one of the best Aussie batsmen i have seen. But his leadership through the tragic passing of Hughes is what tops the cake for him. It showed tremendous courage to get the team together and up and about for that first test.

Michael Clarke: a man who divided and conquered

I agree would love to see it happen but surely even if he was go come back now after Ashes he has maybe a year or two left anyway. They need him for this summer in case something goes wrong as like you said his not someone I want to be playing against in the ashes this year

Kevin Pietersen's 50 shades of grey

I think wait to see how he goes against New Zealand before anything, it will be a real test for him and others and i think that series may determine how they start in the Ashes

Will captain Cook be England's Ashes Achilles heel?

Samuels is like a lot of his teammates, so much talent but lack consistency. If they could get more consistent results they would be quite a team to play against, not so much the bowling but the batting, so much talent there but wasted.

The mysterious case of Marlon Samuels

I do agree with that about Chanderpaul hanging around, plus with his son coming through the ranks at the moment (currently playing under 19’s im pretty sure) he may even hang around to play international cricket with him if he can. It will be the first father-son to play international cricket together.

Yeah that’s quite interesting, the experience and composure of veteran like himself may of been helpful with an outgoing team, but the way they try to play just doesn’t require Chanderpaul at all. Even though he could hang around for a bit whats the point if everyone else around him and is going hell for leather at the ball, you might as well have someone playing that style there instead, at least thats how i see it.

The retirements of Sangakkara and Chanderpaul will be the end of an era

I don’t like how we are starting to lose some of the traditional tracks, its not just the tracks but the countries that are losing it to. Germany are struggling and its bad not seeing a race there every year especially with someone who is successful in Vettel, if Italy goes the F1 will start to lose some of its soul as these countries through drivers and cars helps make F1.

Australian GP to open delayed 2016 F1 season

Beams may have seemed irreplaceable and yes his accolades say that as well, however from what ive seen in the early stages i think we have done well to replace him as best as we can, he was always going to get better but now we have 3 players who can go into that team and play their role which will help us out.

Pies get away with Crisp deal

If they could actually be consistent they would be a scary team to face, not so much the bowling but the patting, but like others have stated they are all going for the riches of the T20 formats and that hinders there long form game as they dont play much red ball cricket. It’s sad to see them go down this path. Like someone else has posted maybe its time they give up on Test and focus on short form cricket unless they get more guys like Ramdin and Holder. Would currently almost be worth giving an associate team a chance of playing test cricket.

Windies showing sporadic spirit but no match for Australia

I agree in what you are saying but in reality like others have stated he will hardly play due to his test commitments, and when he will play is when the ODI’s are usually one and there is still 2-3 months before next test series if not longer. This gives him time to still hit the ball around while waiting for sheffield shield to start up again

Michael Clarke in the Big Bash just doesn't add up

Both are still ticking along at the moment, but through past interviews it sounds like this may be Sanga’s last year and Chanderpaul i’d imagine wouldn’t be too far off either.

The retirements of Sangakkara and Chanderpaul will be the end of an era

Yeah, I knew I was going to forget someone but I do agree he is also another that fits that category, I love seeing guys like Khan still going around helping out the younger ones and showing them how its done

The retirements of Sangakkara and Chanderpaul will be the end of an era

Yes it can affect the bottom line a bit but if you grow the game in the countries that have teams more interest will come out of it and therefore more of the nation will get into it and will draw crowds. The ICC need to have more teams competing on the world stage before only the cricket tragics will be interested in it as everyone else will go to soccer if they haven’t already

Cricket must embrace the associate nations

Yeah im in total agreeance with you there, i don’t have much interest in it because i don’t have Pay TV so can’t watch it. Plus Australia games have been on a Saturday when I along with many others in the country play local cricket. They have built this up so much but to me has failed to live to they hypes because there isn’t alot of exposure.

Cricket must embrace the associate nations

Buck is a must in this team. As others have mentioned his the man that would be helping Warner not get too over the top when his on fire to ensure he doesn’t go on to to something silly to give his wicket away. Plus too me he is a vital to us winning in England next year as he would have to be the most experienced player we have of English conditions and has the record to back him up.

Shut the Buck up and leave Chris Rogers alone

Having Mitch Marsh in the team puts more pressure on Watto to make a score as his no longer our all rounder and I do believe he should be replaced with Burns or Ferguson. However with Rogers we need him for the Ashes. His experience and form in England is something we need to win the Ashes over there. Haddin is still the best keeper we have. Does need to do more with bat, but if we need Haddin to score runs our top order has failed.

Belated generational change forced on Australian cricket

Not too bad of an idea as like you said we have Marsh and Watto there to back up. Maybe Smith could bowl a few overs instead of bringing in another spinner. Even give Warner a go

Australia should take the 'Spin Twins' to Melbourne and Sydney

As much as i agree with you, its like what Scott said.
