Australian rugby has just hit the 11th year since the mighty Wallabies held the Trans-Tasman rugby reward, the Bledisloe Cup.
I can think of six areas within rugby league where changes haven’t improved the game.
While I love the new attacking rugby style, I am also a traditionalist at heart and don’t mind watching the strategy involved in what some might call boring rugby.
Over the last two years, we have seen some interesting times for Australian rugby and NRL teams, especially when things aren’t going to plan on the field.
It seems that social media has reared it’s ‘uncleared’ head once again. Who can forget the uproar when those who use Twitter knew that Matt Giteau had been left out of the Wallabies squad before the official team announcement?
Being a Brumbies fan and a dad of two young boys, I had an interesting experience last year which made me question: when did winning in professional sport become more important than loyalty and support for your team and community?
