Is that world travellor or just weary jaded travellor !.

Have not been to many AFL games in recent years, but IMO your post has little substance to it.

Went to a Collingwood Essendon game where plenty of passion was exuded at the MCG, and also a couple of years ago at Subi between Dockers and Hawthorn was the same.

Are you merely a fan, or a true believer?

Well Tom, to be fair, thats a fair reply, all bets are off though, as soon as your article comes out 🙂

Season preview: Carlton

Indeed i will, probably won’t be able to sleep as the time approaches.

Season preview: Carlton

Hampson has potential IMO, has showed it, in the past and could be a big loss for the Blues.

Season preview: Carlton

He has an opinion, like we are all entitled to, just as your opinion constantly seems to revolve around putting down anything you disagree with.

I would love to read some of your articles to critique !!.

Season preview: Carlton

Not actually sure whether the Cattery still reads this but i think he needs to revise his date about the very first game of Australian football in Canberra QBY area.

In the park on .Saturday an exhibition game under the Australian rules-will be played. A collection in aid of the hospital will be taken on …..

1911, 2 years earlier than this article which stated 1913.

The nation's capital celebrates 100 years

Indeed they are tom !.

New captains provide fresh hope for AFL fans in 2014

New captains provide fresh hope for AFL fans in 2014

That is a pretty shallow and cheap correction, but to use golf terminoligy, it’s par for you.

Think he needed a couple more kilos, absolute gun this kid.

85 kilos at 185cm sounds pretty spot on.

Suns star nervous about AFL second year blues

Beyond pathetic IMO.

Political implications of the Heart takeover

It’s actually not reading between the lines when it comes to you, its like reading the same page of a book again and again.

I would imagine because you have been posting the for years on this site, you could point me in the direction of your tirade against those same sports stars receiving AOTY awards, where are all those posts ?.

My guess is they don’t exist, becdause it was only Goodes AOTY award that really got your back up enough to post.

Goodes a deserving Australian of the year

For someone who so prides himself on fair and succinct posts, it seems you are unable to read between the lines on this, from the usual suspects.

Maybe you are not as unbiased as you think ?.

Goodes a deserving Australian of the year

I present exhibit A your honour !!!.

We know exactly why you have issues about Adam Goodes getting AOTY.

Goodes a deserving Australian of the year

i was actually hoping that a article on Adam Goodes winning AOTY did not eventuate on this site, because i knew that snide comments would be forthcoming from the chip on shoulder brigade, disguised of course, as social commentary about sports stars winning AOTY etc, Goodes heritage etc, when of course we all really know it is about Goodes playing Australian football.

Poor form, the code wars have no end for some people, they are clearly pathetic.

Goodes a deserving Australian of the year

My concern is, ……. i have nothing against Goodes, but, ……. he seems like a nice bloke , but …. personally i know little of Adam Goodes aside from he plays AFL, but, ….. Especially in the context of a player playing a sport unknown globally.

And of course , the winning post on a SPORTS SITE …. “Sports stars should not get AOTY” 🙂 , although the one about a AOTY should be globally known was pretty close ….. , makes you wonder whether they understand what AOTY actually is !!!!!

All those posters have one thing in common, …they all post reguarly on a particlar TAB on this site, and it it is not the one they are currently on.

Goodes a deserving Australian of the year

Very grass roots orientated, so i am not sure whether the intention is to really promote, certainly the AFL will be keen to promote their league, and in particular Hawthorn which has 2 Kiwis on their list, and St Kilda which has a couple of kiwis as well.

AIS defeat NZ in an Aussie rules thriller

Not sure whether Kiwi Adam Campbell is still playing, but the former Docker was a bit stiff IMO at getting a regualr AFL gig.

AIS defeat NZ in an Aussie rules thriller

“One wonders how a full strength Ireland would go against a full strength New Zealand”

I guess we will not really find out, as probably all AFL listed players won’t be playing in the INTERNATIONAL CUP 2014 ……but some answers will be revealed from August 9th to 23rd.

AIS defeat NZ in an Aussie rules thriller

What a life you must lead bunkered down in your mire of unecessary cheap shots.

Millions of AFL fans and probably millions of other Australians would be more than happy for foriegn businesses to stay away from great Australian sporting icons, and in the AFL’s case they are member run and owned, who vote in and out boards, the way …CLUBS …. should be.

You are welcome to the plastic owners you think are salvation.

Facelift needed for Melbourne Heart to start again

Foreigners 🙂 , just a guess, but i reckon about 15 ……. couple of Americans, 1 Canadian, probably about 10 Irishmen, a PNG boy and 2 Kiwis at least.

New Zealand Hawks to take on AFL AIS Academy

A couple of years ago West Perth had some Americans playing, pretty good by all accounts ( for Americans :)) , one played reserve grade WAFL ( not be sneezed at ) and the other one district football.

Not on NZ, but a interesting interview about South African football.

None more obvious than hitting a ball with your head, the other football codes attempt to avoid concussion.

What does Heart takeover say about football's globalisation?

Nearly a third of all soccer players suffer concussions from heading a soccer ball …. 1/3 !

Soccer will have its own set of problems, when the lawyers venture into the concussion minefield.

What does Heart takeover say about football's globalisation?

A standard season membership at most AFL clubs, guarantees a right to vote to elect board members, or even run for the board, should you desire.

For example at Carlton FC a standard season general admission membership is around $200, reserved seating is from around $390.

Do the terms ‘club’ and ‘privately owned’ actually fit together ?.

Melbourne Storm continue to grow with Heart deal
