If you want to make REAL money from racing, become a breeder; it TRULY IS a LICENCE TO PRINT MONEY!
Breeders make money from every mating and every successful (i.e., not still-born) foaling, regardless of whether or not the horse will eventually race.

Great article, Dane, but I couldn’t decide whether to laugh my head off or cry my eyes out!
Everybody loves to call various players “grubs,” but the REAL grubs are in the boardrooms.

Do you have what it takes to be in footy administration?

Well. I’m glad I decided not to switch my TV off.
Now, I’m hoping for a clean sweep.
GO, THE BLUES!

Well, congratulations, then, Queensland!
We Blues supporters might as well switch our TVs off and go to bed tomorrow night, as it’s obviously a foregone conclusion.

I don’t mind Ryan’s idea of the Origin game being played on a Sunday night; it would certainly be OK for anyone who would want to watch the broadcast at home.

However, I’m sure I’m not the only one who usually joins a group of mates at his local pub or club to watch the game over a few beers and maybe a bite to eat.

The pubs in my local area and for a fair radius around it all close at 10:00pm on Sunday nights, however, which would mean that we probably wouldn’t be able to see the whole of the broadcast unless its starting time were to be brought forward by about an hour.

It should be remembered that the actual kick-off time of this year’s Game I was around 8:20pm, and the broadcast ran until almost 11:00pm, the broadcast itself having started at 7:30pm.

If the broadcast could start at 6:30pm, (immediately after the 6:00pm Nine News), with a kick-off time around 7:00pm to 7:15pm, it would be OK for me, and anyone else who wanted to watch the game in their local pub.

That’s my 2¢ worth, anyway.
