I don’t see a problem with them trying harder to beat a rival during a season than concerning themselves with winning a premiership mid year can only take it one game at a time,
Just make sure that when that Dragons game comes around we give them a good kicking along the way.

That is a good point thanks for bringing it up. I think Politoni might steal some game time of Ennis, considering I think the Sharks might use Politoni off the bench a bit like how the used De gois and Morris.

He looked the goods at the nines but will have to see how he fairs after 80 minutes, I think a fair few players will be caught out early in the season.

Belting the Dragons and Manly are always high on Cronullas mission lists but it hasn’t happened for a while

I was reading that just then about Docker dragons should take that and run for the hills get rid of Merrin going to cause a distraction amongst the team if he’s there when season starts.
You don’t need players guessing who is staying and leaving all year.
Cronulla set to surprise in 2015
Leutele will hold down a centres spot for sure he was immense for them last year, especially palming off SBW. Everyone loves seeing that happen!!
Cronulla set to surprise in 2015
Yeah I didn’t read it the right way. Seems strange no one wants to be at the dragons a couple years ago it was the place to be

I think they have the roster to do so, providing no major injuries to the spine of the team. Barba and Gordon are going to be the most influential backs for the Sharks they’re going to hold the key to success.

500k i couldn’t justify paying him that when there are much better young up and comers coming through.
If he wants more money go to the Super League or even worse Union.

I’m not expecting much from the Dragons other than they’ll be competitive without making the 8.
I still want to see more out of Widdop, he was great at Melbourne but who wouldn’t be with Cronk as your partner in the halves. Benji needs to go back to challenging the defence with his footwork trying to pass around them won’t work.
McGregor was a great appointment as coach for the Dragons, well respected by the players which I think was lacking when Steve Price was in charge.

The reason I like him so much is he does his job, I agree it’s not the hardest or the biggest impact role but in Souths there doesn’t seem anyone else other than Tyrell, McQueen and Clark that are willing to provide that sound defensive coverage. Sam Burgess did but his brothers not so much. I prioritise defense over attack.
Cronulla set to surprise in 2015
I think he can perform consistently but Flanagan needs to find the key to unlock Tagateses potential.
What do you think of Souths Tyrell? I rate him pretty highly, doesn’t do anything flashy or brilliant just gets in an gets the job done.

I was under the impression that Merrin was headed out to Pepper stadium with Gus and his merry men? Surely the Sharks can’t afford to add Merrin to the roster.

Very very rarely will tagatese play as explosively, not a proper player comparison of tagatese and Scott that would be nearly asylum inducing.
Cronulla set to surprise in 2015
I think even without Gallen and Lewis in the forward pack they still have enough size and speed to handle most packs. Tagatese needs more big performances this year, when he fires up he’s just as explosive as a Dave Taylor or a Matt Scott but those performances are few and far between.
Robson I like not so much for his talent or ability on the field but more his ability to stay calm and keep the team rolling on, two halves that are all flair and brilliance leave no room for a calm and controlling mind when things get tough.
I want them to play better in attack but still keep up with teams in a dog fight. The stoic defense needs to return this season, we got a glimpse of that in the Auckland 9s final.

He joined the Sharks from the Devils in the Qld Cup? I’ve heard the name but can’t put a face to it. If he’s got a solid kicking game inside the opposition half could get a full time spot. Sharks kicking game has struggled last few seasons

That’s true look at Melbourne without Cronk, smith and slater. In terms of injuries outside the spine of a team I don’t like using injuries as a scapegoat for poor performances.
I believe Barba will play very similar to the way Carney played in the halves with Robson, Barba the flair and creativity and Robson controlling the team up the field. Question is though who replaces Barba or Robson if one of them goes down considering Brown is out aswell? Is Stanley going to finally step up to the mark?
Cronulla set to surprise in 2015
Aslong as the Sharks put forth the same attitude and effort they did last year and stay injury free, they will be a hard team to topple. They can’t use the injury excuse as a scapegoat though, penrith had a lot of injuries last year and they were top 4.

Fifita last night was surprisingly good if he keeps that form and it ties in with Andrews during the season could end up an all Sharks forward pack for the Blues at stages.
I’m not a NSW fan but why they haven’t had Graham in the team is ridiculous.
I’ve got a feeling Graham is going to take the Sharks places.
4th/5th seems likely but they have to avoid a horror run of injuries and dramas. I’d like to see them be able to give the Rabbits and Roosters a run for their money come finals time.

I’d like to point out that the editor has added the first names of those players in as I referred to them by their surname in my original copy.
Cronulla set to surprise in 2015
We can’t expect the game to progress when the head honchos are constantly changing how the game is adjudicated. This belief that changing the rules and systems in place is beneficial is ridiculous at best. Watching classic games shows that back then the game was at its best.
This GREY area in the rules shouldn’t exist why can’t they make clear decisions on what is right an wrong and stick by them. Majority of what they call strips are plain loose carries that players are exploiting to gain an advantage.
NRL need to KISS their referees
The only thing I’ve really noticed that’s bad about what the Socceroos are doing is the constant falling down in the box, wasting chances for a slim hope of a penalty.
I know a lot of other teams fall down like they’ve been shot and it drives me crazy stay on your feet and have a bloody crack at it
If they atleast try to stay on their feet the ref will more then likely give them a penalty
South Korea down Socceroos in Asian Cup
I think that some people are forgetting that this is my opinion, in no way am I forcing people to like or agree with what I have said.
Inglis, Minichiello and Slater are my Top 3 for 2014 that’s it I won’t be changing the way I think or see things to suit people who disagree, I am more then willing to listen and take in everyone’s points and opinions. Effort and consistency is a more important trait to me then a few spectacular tries and tackles.
The NRL's top three fullbacks
Fair call , Inglis doesn’t go missing defensively as often as hayne and granted part of that can come down to a forward pack that doesn’t match up on the day. Saving tried is a lot more important then scoring tries in my opinion, I have the defensive mindset when it comes to league.
I do agree that they are both great players but this year atleast inglis has been more instrumental in getting the rabbits where they are then what hayne has for the eels, might seem like a cruel call against hayne but if he wants to leave a legacy like a Lockyer he needs to buck up an take the game by the scruff of the neck, hopefully he does.
I think I mentioned this before only my second attempt at writing any form of article so any and all feedback is helpful

The question is will Wenger spend the money required to get those players to help ease the pressure that is mounted squarely on a few?
I hope so, the Londoners excluding Chelsea have all struggled compared to United and City up north, they dont throw the money around like them and I do appreciate Wenger wanting to bring on the young ones in the academy or buying players that require a second chance, it will unfortunately be his downfall.
Will Lacazette sign with an English team though? He seems more interested in attracting the attention of Barca and Real Madrid (cant blame him).
Giroud needs to be moved on, stealing Kane could be beneficial for them. I would put more interest into signing an Icardi (Inter Milan) and potentially luring Pogba or Khedira ( im unaware of his current status with contracts).
