I certainly agree Sam, to an extent. While we’ve been moving forward, albeit slowly, I still couldn’t imagine us beating the All Blacks. However, as you said if we beat England this weekend it’ll be a good reflection of how far we’ve come. Nor do I think either that poor discipline is the only thing to rectify. We’re far from a bad side, but 6/14 isn’t what we’ve come to expect. Maybe I’ve highlighted penalties and yellow cards more than they actually influence the game, as our exit is a big issue, so to is our scrum holding its own.
That being said, our backline attack has improved in leaps and bounds, and particularly across our back and second row, as well as our outside backs our depth has increased dramatically.

Using the yellow cards of Coleman v All Blacks, Mumm v Ireland and Skelton v Scotland as examples, at the moment they just seem reckless. This is where I think the Walalbies are missing the likes of Timani and McMahon

Sorry, you’re right, I should have been more specific. Tradational powerhouses = imbalanced overfunding and favouritised states despite lack of success and/or form
