Mate, do you honestly believe we just need to ‘show up’ at these games and qualify for Russia? You honestly have no idea about World Cup qualification and football in Asia if you think we should qualify with no difficulties and not even consider the possibility of going through the playoffs.

Japan needs no introduction. Saudi Arabia have won the Asian Cup four times, qualified for the World Cup four times. We have always struggled against Thailand. These countries are no amateurs.

You are talking as our players are plying their trade PSG, Chelsea or Real Madrid. Why are we expected to qualify automatically? Be honest, 90% of our players are in second division of Germany and England with a few scattered across Asia and Australia.
