He was sacked for expressing his religious beliefs in a manner that did not affect anything on the field at all. For the record, as a Christian myself I don’t think he was right to do what he did but I think that he should have the right to say it if that’s what he believes. In the end who gets to decide what speech is allowed and what isn’t?
As 40% of the population voted against gay marriage there is a sizeable proportion of people who at least share some of his views out there. Those people who share his views should be able to see themselves and their views represented in society just as those who don’t should.

This is an absolute disgrace. Rugby would claim to be an “inclusive game” but apparently this doesn’t extend to including people with different beliefs to Rugby Australia. Of course they will accept Christian players as long as their Christianity is nice and sanitised and not offending anyone; toeing the party line.
David Pocock is allowed to break the law and chain himself to a tree with zero consequence while Folau can’t quote the Bible? I hope he wins the case, bankrupts Rugby Australia and they’re forced to start again with some sensible people in charge that can handle being disagreed with.
