Why Victoria should never host another Origin match

Victorians claim Victoria is the home of Australian sport but if the NRL, the ARL or the independent commission gives them another State of Origin it will be the worst call in Australian sport since Greg Inglis was ruled to be a Queenslander.

Referee inexperience was Origin’s worst decision

Both on field referees did a great job in what all the players have said was one of the fastest Origin matches in years. They allowed it to flow. There is no question Jennings should have been sin binned. The penalty against Bird for that lifting tackle was incorrect. So one penalty wrong all game...not too bad. All the blame should be aimed at the video referee for that howler. I know Harrigan has now said it is the correct call by I still have my doubts!!

Why Victoria should never host another Origin match

Not sure how holding the match in Melbourne boosted TV ratings?? This was one of the most anticipated Origin matches in years. It could have been played anywhere on the east coast and the ratings would have been massive.
