Yes frankie, There is a big difference between a split decision and a unanimous decision. The thing about split decision as you can usually argue either way like when geale fought barker. But with a unanimous decision it is usually quite clear who the winner is. Canelo beat trout just as clear as geale beat mundine.

Money talks, and mundine has money. Unless you are a superstar like floyd or manny, getting offered half or even quater of a million for a fight is a big deal. I am surprised that mundine didnt forkout the money to get a better name. I thought ishe smith would have taken half a million if mundine offered it. And that would have been a massive ppv fight.

Ive watched the mundine vs kessler fight at lEast 3 times. it’s very inspiring for me. That was the best i had seen him fight and he was very humble in defeat because kessler boxed amazingly well also.

I think Geale would make a very interesting Golovkin fight because geale is very aggressive. I cant think of one fighter who has really taken the fight to Golovkin and Geale is the type of person who doesn’t wait for things to happen in the ring. he makes them happen.
I’m thinking knockout to Golovkin but still signifcantly boosting daniel’s career and gaining a new fan base in the USA.

If Mundine takes him out in the first few rounds then maybe.. but otherwise i doubt it. This will be a purely a stay busy fight.. but the journo’s will have a field day with it. I may just have something to say about it as well. Can’t wait to hear who it is.

The thing is Colin, Daniel Dawson is ranked #14 by the WBA. This is why mundine was so specific and said top 15 instead of saying top 10. Nevertheless on a world scale Daniel Dawson is a nobody… who are we kidding. I am very happy that mundine is fighting again so quickly.. that is something i have missed. People like Green and Geale fought less and less the more famous they become and so did mundine.. so at the very least respect to the man for that.

according to fighthype.com, gary shaw, daniel’s promotoer, has said they are on the brink of signing the deal to fight golovkin.

It makes sense for anthony to stay busy and fight dawson, though a few days ago mundine was in an interview saying “i only want to fight yanks”. I just don’t like the hypocrisy. The highest priced tickets for anthonies next fight are only $200 which makes me think it’s not going to be a class opponent.

Its in sturms best interest to rematch geale or soliman. Financially at least. I think it makes geale look really bad calling out someone who already offered him a fight that he turned down.

Whatever happens now is so important for his legacy. He cant just say i want the best anymore.. he has to do it whether it means taking a pay cut or fighting in germany or anything. Daniel geale did it the hard way. The honest way. And Daniel is in a position to have the big fights. Mundine needs to keep his ego in check and realise he ain’t the man just yet.

We are nobodies to say it’s to late for mundine. As i sit here on my butt writing comments on this website he’s already been for a run and hit the gym. People should be supportive and not be telling anthony it’s too late. It’s the opposite of the true aussie way. Aussies are never out. NEVER.
I know it seems like he would get smashed by cotto and alvarez and that may be true.. but mundine is really big in this division.. he would be quite strong and in my opinion .. kind of scary to these boys. I don’t know if they will want to fight him simply because if they lose.. they well be losing to someone who is relatively unknown.

I have my doubts about trout for some reason. I think he could beat nearly every one else but trout is kind of scary to me. Mundine refused to fight trout a few years back.

Marketing and promotions are a powerful thing. If a promoter in america can find a good angle they can sell any fight. Who the hell is brandion rios? Just took on the pac man. Robert guerrero was a relatively unknown fighter to take on floyd mayweather.. considering people like manny are much more worthy and have been waiting.
