My apologies, just a typo there!

Aussie baseball reaching new heights in the MLB

Should be a great season. Hoping the Heat can get back to their winning ways. Aces and Calvary will be tough to beat though

I don’t see Twiggy’s new competition taking off. Would love to see the Force stick around but I’m not convinced

Wallabies rally around Force players

Nathan Lyon’s display was nothing short of remarkable. Easy to forget he was close to being dropped before being handed song duties by Hussey a few years back

Australia are bunnies in Asia no more

O’Keefe, Lyon and Agar. One right-armer and two lefties will provide a great balance in the side. Throwing Cartwright into the team seems like a good idea, as it will give him some valuable experience on foreign soil.

The Aussies’ need to rest their spearhead bowlers for the Ashes (Starc, Hazlewood, Cummins) as they don’t want to risk injury before a crucial series.

Australia should play three spinners in Bangladesh

I was really impressed with Hope and Brathwaite in the last test, and they really bossed the England bowlers. They did a brilliant job frustrating England, especially Broad and the team showed some character to come back from an absolute mauling only a week ago.

The Australia series comes down to playing spin – something the Aussies’ don’t do particularly well. That second innings was such a typical Australian batting innings in Asia, with only Warner and Smith (to a certain extent) looking like they could actually score runs. It’ll be interesting to see how Test 2 takes shape.

It's the week Test cricket needed

Congratulations Spurs on your qualification to the Europa League… In all seriousness it is a tough group, but Spurs are a very good team. Dortmund aren’t the fire power they once were so second spot could be up for grabs

Tough draw for Spurs in Champions League

Great to see Usman back in. Not sure why he has been overlooked for previous Asia games given he has only played 4 tests over in those conditions!

Agar, Khawaja in as Aussies confirm XI for first Bangladesh Test

What a great game. Hats off to the Wallabies for putting in a great shift.

Highlights: Wallabies blow their big chance to win Bledisloe 2

I would love to disagree with this statement, but sadly feel that you may be right.

Rugby's loss could be League's gain in WA

Good point. In recent years it has been quite disappointing. I’ve been a few times this year where there mustn’t have been much more than 7,000

We will have to channel our inner 2010/11 and maybe we might have a chance. Australia do look vulnerable right now though

England can win Ashes: Faf du Plessis

Barca are going to relentless in their pursuit of Coutinho. Liverpool will have to be strong to resist.

Selling Coutinho would be a sign of weakness at Liverpool

Great front rower who will give his all for the team. Loved having him at the Force and wish him luck!

Melbourne Rebels nab Wallabies prop from the Western Force

I think these predictions are going to be fairly accurate by the end of the season. Pains me as a Dragons fan to say that…

The NRL ladder prediction: Where your club is actually going to finish

Will go down as possibly the greatest English bowler of all time. There is no one better in world cricket in their own conditions, but it’ll be interesting to see how he fares down under when the ball doesn’t swing for him.

Jimmy Anderson closing in on 500 Test wickets

There is no denying we have some issues to sort out in the batting lineup, but there is depth there in the county circuit. Jennings is likely to be dropped at the expense or either Hameed or Stoneman, while Malan is likely to give way for either Ballance or Hales at 5, or to bring Woakes back in for everyone to move up one spot in the order (Stokes at 5, Bairstow 6, Ali 7 etc).

Wesley showed good temperament and will be given another chance.

I don’t see anyone stopping the Pats this year. Brady is as strong as ever and the depth of the receiving pack is just unfair. Will be interesting to see how Gronk bounces back from injury.

NFL power rankings: Patriots dynasty looking to continue

Thank god this is all over and we and can look forward to an exciting battle between two cricket nations who both have a few questions marks over their lineups!

The pay war is over, the players won. Now, back to the cricket

As a Dragons’ fan, it’s such a shame to see how the team has just unraveled the past few weeks. Fingers crossed we can pull it together and make the finals. Those final moments against the Bunnies’ was excruciating.

It’s a good opportunity for players to represent their country. I know as an Englishman I love any World Cup as it gives you time to take on some national pride. Yes Australia are the best RL team in the world by a country mile, but I don’t think it takes the enjoyment out of it

Foregone conclusion or not, the Rugby League World Cup will still be great

Clearly just a lifestyle choice. One year as a player in WA before retiring and bringing up his young family over there. Great career Sam!
