Rugby's north vs south internationals

It’s hard to believe but the 2012 international rugby season is already under way. It feels as although it was just yesterday that the All Blacks were crowned champions of the world for the second time.

Spiro predicts: Brumbies in finals, and Reds out

I must say, I disagree with the notion that the Chiefs and Crusaders would be able to win in the Cape. Although the Crusaders did have the wood on the Stormers in 11', it was a much closer game in Christchurch this year. A game in which the Crusaders were lucky to win, some terrible refing (both ways, admittedly) and a few lucky breaks saw the Crusaders home, just. We can also expect the return of a couple key players for the stormers, including Schalk Burger. If we look back to Super Rugby finals history, the Chiefs were destroyed by the Bulls in their only trip to the final. Of all the teams in the current top six (which I am picking to be the final top six) I would most like to meet the chiefs in a final, they have fallen apart in the past and I anticipate would do so again. Sharks to go a long way too, with the Inclusion of Francois Steyn (perhaps a loophole with jordaan injured) and Lambie and Alberts to come back, I think they will at the very least make a semi final. Sharks vs Stormers in the cape? More realistic, a Stomers vs Crusaders final in Capetown.

Rugby’s north vs south internationals

Nick, Selections like Weepu over Ellis are strange, and its widely regarded to be the case here in New Zealand. Other strange selections include Ali Williams, Victor Vito ahead of Thompson and the several wings/fullbacks that were picked ahead of Andre Taylor. I did not imply that his selections were down right bad and wrong, I merely made an observation. An observation that the rest of New Zealand made as well. Next time, before your so critical, do a little bit of research and don't make assumptions based on your very limited knowledge of other peoples opinions.
