Agreed.
I’m a Kiwi but did spend some time in Queensland and could never understand the vitriol from one state to another, both in rugby and generally.
Bizarre.

'We'll sack him and be in the same position': Ex-Wallaby condemns Larkham snub as Schmidt deal CONFIRMED

The best person for the job will NEVER be a Kiwi simply because of the political undermining.

'We'll sack him and be in the same position': Ex-Wallaby condemns Larkham snub as Schmidt deal CONFIRMED

They will undermine Schmidt just like they did Dingo and Rennie and pretend it has nothing to do with him being a Kiwi or the fact that the players need to be put back in their place.
All three are excellent coaches with excellent track records before being screwed over by Rugby Australia.
I don’t know why ANYONE would take that role, let alone a Kiwi. Madness.

'We'll sack him and be in the same position': Ex-Wallaby condemns Larkham snub as Schmidt deal CONFIRMED

Except they will treat him like crap because he isn’t Ozzie.
They have prior form on this.

RA must not fixate on an Aussie coach - why Ronan O'Gara is best choice to lead Wallabies after the Eddie calamity

I don’t think Ozzie rugby is in remotely as good shape as NZ rugby was in 2011.
The ABs suffered a shock loss and bounced back to win it in 2011.
I’m not convinced anyone was shocked at the Wallabies poor performance and I doubt anyone believes they can win in 2027.

Wallabies are where the All Blacks were in 2007 - it's time to look in the mirror or risk more embarrassment

Yep, pretty much sums him up.
A sore loser and a real hot head, which is a shame because he is pretty talented otherwise.

'The players deserved better': Cheika's fury returns as England hang on against Argentina to win RWC bronze medal

Eh? I mean seriously WTF.
If you don’t like the way they play, don’t watch their games or find another sport.

SPIRO ZAVOS: England's bully boy, no rugby display against Boks is the game they play in hell. Now for the salvation

Yes of course and a well-executed scrum is a beautiful thing.
The point is that if thats ALL you see, it can be boring IMO and honestly, if the Boks vs Poms game hadn’t been a nail biter I would have found it a snooze fest.

Rugby’s descent into cynical play: Why neutral fans should back the All Blacks for the good of the game

LOL! Fair call.
Being an ABs supporter it is no coincidence that I find it a bit boring, but I can absolutely appreciate and admire the way the poms almost won a seemingly unwinnable game and how the Saffas managed to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.

Rugby’s descent into cynical play: Why neutral fans should back the All Blacks for the good of the game

Beauty to behold? Maybe not, depending on the hemisphere you grew up in.
However it was an absolute master stroke and worthy of admiration.
The Saffas are undoubtedly the better of the two teams IMO but yet through the tactical brilliance of the pommy coaches were the ones that were bloody lucky to escape with the win.
The pommy team will rue some really stupid mistakes at the end of the match that cost them a win that should really have been theirs.

Rugby’s descent into cynical play: Why neutral fans should back the All Blacks for the good of the game

Meh, it’s how the poms have ALWAYS played pretty much.
It’s not indicative of decline, but rather returning to their roots.
Is it boring? Well it depends on your preferences, which are heavily influenced by where you grew up watching rugby.
I do find it boring because I’m a Kiwi, but I also acknowledge that it can be very effective rugby which we can attest to by virtue of the slimmest of losses to the Saffas.
The ABs went into the 2019 semi playing “beautiful” rugby and got right royally smashed to pieces – it hurt to watch.
So I say, whilst I find that particular brand of rugby boring, the ABs will not be dismissive of it because to do so would be to invite disaster.

Rugby’s descent into cynical play: Why neutral fans should back the All Blacks for the good of the game

If the ABs go into the final with the same point of view as the author, they will lose.
You have to respect the way the opposition play and seek to deal with it.
If you treat it as something to be derided as not “real rugby”, they will smash you.

Rugby’s descent into cynical play: Why neutral fans should back the All Blacks for the good of the game

A good news story if I ever read one.
Especially how quickly his hard work has been rewarded,

'Didn't want to leave': The Aussie-raised star in World Cup final - and the 'vision' that led him to the All Blacks

Great scene from a great movie.

The Wrap: There's a reason Boks and All Blacks are at the big boys' table - the rest have to earn their way onto it

Upton no good 😊

The Wrap: There's a reason Boks and All Blacks are at the big boys' table - the rest have to earn their way onto it

Quite probably, but it would be pearl clutching nonetheless.
I am guessing your point is that it only ever seems to be a problem if a white man does it, which I 100% agree with and yes I too am sick of the hypocritical double standards whites are held to.
But once again, if someone calls you a white, brown or yellow c%%t, to have a big sook is just pearl clutching. Shake it off FFS.

The Wrap: There's a reason Boks and All Blacks are at the big boys' table - the rest have to earn their way onto it

Only ever as good as the opposition allow you to play.
Argies allowed the ABs to get away with blue murder, poms not so much.
I don’t think we can read a damned thing into the semis performances.

The Wrap: There's a reason Boks and All Blacks are at the big boys' table - the rest have to earn their way onto it

Why is that an insult?
The final is metaphorically the big boys table.
So much so that even the 3rd/4th playoff match is often contested with less that 100 percent vigour.
I’ve said here before that neither France nor Ireland would have looked out if place in the final, but in the end they couldn’t even get past the QFs, a result that must be seen as a failure by their fans given the stellar form each brought into the cup.

The Wrap: There's a reason Boks and All Blacks are at the big boys' table - the rest have to earn their way onto it

Without video evidence which there does not appear to be, it will cause a bit of pearl clutching but nothing else I suspect.

The Wrap: There's a reason Boks and All Blacks are at the big boys' table - the rest have to earn their way onto it

Agreed. That game had 7 minutes regular time and 73 minutes injury time.

The Wrap: There's a reason Boks and All Blacks are at the big boys' table - the rest have to earn their way onto it

Yep, and we went on to win the whole thing, right?
Right??

The Wrap: There's a reason Boks and All Blacks are at the big boys' table - the rest have to earn their way onto it

Yep.
Based on their form Upton a few weeks ago I didn’t think the ABs deserved to be in the final and made that statement here.
However, they peaked perfectly and now it’s pretty hard to argue against their presence.

The Wrap: There's a reason Boks and All Blacks are at the big boys' table - the rest have to earn their way onto it

What a load of crap.
I suppose you think only blacks were subject to slavery.

England's Curry accused Bongi Mbonambi of vile racial insult - but Boks fans have alternative explanation

Ouch!
That’s going to leave a mark.
