Living the dream for the time being Robert re the Sharks.
Elliot was on a hiding to nothing when he took over. The players wanted Iro. I think Elliot is a decent coach, but it’s not easy for him when nobody wants to play for him.
The Warriors have lost all their spark and are a rabble no doubt

Another interesting read Jason,
Won’t find many arguments regarding knees on the ground. It is clearly being manipulated but within the rules as it stands.
It is a bit of a farce that the dominant position is unable to load up with knees simply because his opponent can reach the ground with his hand. Also, there is little margin for error if the fighter does not protect himself in preference to getting a hand on the mat.
We might see an influx of carpet layers into the UFC if they adopt the knees on ground rules. It’s a good move
I like the notion of non stop offense but would be a hard one to police. Clever fighters can take advantage of their dominance by taking onboard some breathing space.
Two rule changes that the UFC needs to make
MMA has so many athletes / fighters burst onto the scene and at the time you think that person is never going to be defeated.
You’ve alluded to this with your GSP and Anderson Silva records.
The nature of the sport is that a fighter is only one short right hand or choke hold away from tasting defeat.
There has been relatively minimal “dynasties” in the sport today where someone dominates a division (s)
I don’t envy you for trying to determine the GOAT. I don’t disagree with your nomination also, it is a subjective choice.
I like the way GSP goes about his business though, he’d get my nod.
Who is the greatest MMA fighter of all time?
Hi Oikee,
Great to hear from you and enjoyed your rundown. It warmed the cockles of this budding hack journo’s heart mate, cheers.
I am a massive fan of Jessie and thought her eye popping performance at Indigenous game was first rate. She is a top sort no doubt.
Was great to see Sandow playing so well, off the cuff and really enjoying his footy. The Eels were on a massive roll.
Dragons were at least spirited v Melbourne. They have lost some cattle in recent years but will always be there or thereabouts.
Have a good day mate and incidentally, my Mum cooks a cracking meatloaf. Crispy on outside and nice and chewy in the middle.

Wow – Soa will shake it up
Wanderlei Silva: Go out while you're loved, and swinging hard
Top class article mate.
Was a great bout, hats off to both fighters as that first round was arguably round of the year.
Stann is a credible fighter as you mentioned but i didn’t think he was capable of slugging with Silva in that fashion. It could have a been different result had that first round remained on the feet and not ending up on the floor
I like Silva, have always been a massive fan. I think you hit nail on head that he should go one fight early than stay one fight too long.
What a great return for Mark Hunt too. Whether he can continue his comeback against the big guns remains to be seen, but i sure hope he does

Hi Mathew,
Much appreciated mate, that’s really cool.

Rugby league's unsung heroes: the ballboy
The Stars have been dominant in this tournament.
The game v England was a cracker
Here’s hoping they go all the way
Osborne leaves Sri Lanka in a spin
Happy days for the young bloke Pot Stirrer.
Would have been great life experience for him hanging round the game’s best players
Rugby league's unsung heroes: the ballboy
Wonder if he practiced his ‘side step’ on the sidelines.
Notable other ballboys include Mark Webber (Raiders), Brett Finch (Knights), Mat Rogers (Sharkies)

Too right Adam,
Grassroots footy can’t be beaten
All the best mate

G’day Robshots,
I moved away from the Illawarra when i was a teenager but so glad i grew up where i did.
The Carlton League produced some great players. The Butchers if memory serves me had Peter Wynn and Brian Battese among others from their ranks. Gibson Park always had a lush surface too
The Illawarra is one of the best nurseries in the world – Changa and Fulton being 2 immortals from there.
Thanks for the read mate, will keep in touch for your articles in future.
Regards
Jazzy

G’Day Boris,
Did you know the Farquhaur’s – i used to knock about with the son.
The old man was a bit of a Wolves Legend
Hookers wouldn’t resort to such cheap shots mate

The All Stars: Rugby league does it better
those interviews were so meaningless. At one stage they held up Thurston from kicking for Johns to ask “Where are you aiming this one for JT ?” Would have thought there was a fairly simple response to that – how about “straight between the sticks”.
Wonder how long for Gould to keep up the “at least the on field refs made a decision” rhetoric. At least until there is a blunder against the Panthers methinks
Still, it’s beaut that the footy is back
The All Stars: Rugby league does it better
Shogun has had some brutal fights of late.
Dan Hendo and yesterday’s Gustaffson bought show he has a granite head.
Unfortunately, father time seems to be catching up to the bloke – he looked punchy yesterday
UFC on Fox 5 Henderson vs Diaz: The aftermath
GSP will be sharper than ever coming back from injury.
They have been showing replays of UFC’s on Fuel Tv recently. The first title bout with Koscheck (where Koscheck’s R eye closed) was a master class by GSP.
So quick, so many strings to his bow and this time he will be even more switched on and focused…if that’s possible
UFC 154: The Roaring Predictions
The Pumas have done reasonably well in their debut season.
Hope they stick with them in this format simply because i will never grow tired of hearing “Estadio Ciudad de La Plata”.
All Blacks devastate Pumas in brutal display
i am mate.
just wanted to gloat about the future security of the Sharks
This was a gutless act by the Wests Tigers
Kick the Tigers out of the comp or relocate them to Perth.
They are a basket case.
Unlike the Sharkies who are rapidly becoming the Sydney powerhouse

Massive size at the Doggies next year. there is also a young kid in Toyota Cup who will be knocking on the door of the first grade next year and he is a man mountain
Williams and Taylor's final backhander
agree mate, the coaches role is to be in charge.
As it stands it’s the lunatics running the asylum
If the results continue, Elliott will be the one who falls on the sword, not the players
