Luck is elite, he has shown he is a top 5 QB, he made the AFC Championship game a couple years ago even with a terrible O-line and defence. But they need to start thinking long term and protect Luck. Invest all their money in an O-line that can protect him. If not, he will keep getting injured and the Colts will be in this situation for the next 10 years.

Are Luck-less Colts tanking?

As a Rams fan, was so bloody happy to see the way Goff played on Monday. I know it was only the Colts but compared to last year, he looked unreal. Hoping he can keep it going. I’m realistic and know the Rams are extremely unlikely to make playoffs this season, but if Goff can improve, that means defences will have to stop stacking the box which will allow more space for Gurley which is a dangerous prospect. And if our defence can keep up their amazing play, we could surprise a few people this year. Realistically I’m hoping for a 7-8 win season, would give me really high hopes for the future.

Around the NFL: Week 1 best and worst performances

If Panthers can keep it close for the majority of the game, I could see them stealing this one, particularly with how well they’ve done in the last 20 minutes of games this season. However, there is a very real chance of the Broncos running out to a large lead in the opening stages, which will be too much for Penrith to chase down. I’m hoping this doesn’t happen. Will be cheering the mighty Penny Panthers home!!

Broncos vs Panthers: The ultra-definitive NRL semi-final stats preview

I think it’s a great season! You don’t need an outright top team for a competition to be exciting. I think it’s better if there is genuine belief that any team in the top 8, or at least top 6 for this season, could actually win it. Compared to the NRL when it’s just a question of if anyone can stop the Storm, the finals race in the AFL is wide open, and that’s incredibly exciting!

Can it be a great season without a definitively great team?

As much as I hate to say it, but Team Evil will be extremely hard to beat this season, I think they’ve got better since last season, as hard as that is to believe.
The Colts chances will come down to whether Luck is fit and ready to go this season. If he can get back to his best, then so can they.
I too will be watching the Raiders closely this season. I think they really could have challenged New England last season had Carr not gone down. With Carr healthy again and the addition of Lynch in the backfield, they could threaten Pats. I hope they do!

I think he’s the real deal. Will be watching both him and Winston very closely this season.

Still can’t believe Browns traded for him. He was absolute garbage last year, thought they’d be smarter.

In saying that, Osweiller will most likely start this season because that seems the most logical option, but if it’s not Kessler, Kizer has shown potential already. How much opportunity he gets this season is yet to be seen but could be one to look out for in the future.

If it weren’t for their lack of a genuine starting quarterback I think the Browns could surprise a few people, they have slowly built a solid team. But lack of talent at the most important position will let them down again. Cody Kessler looks their best option, and if they give him a full season as a starter, no matter the results then it may work out for them down the track. I have a bit of a soft spot for the Browns as well, hope they can turn it around soon!

Hayne is a cancer to the team and needs to go. If the board is listening to one of its players over the coach, then there is a serious issue. Hayne and the board should have gone before Neil Henry. He is a good coach, he got Titans to the finals last season without Hayne almost the entire season. They almost started playing worse when Hayne arrived. That money that he is wasting could be spent on something so much more worthwhile. I like the Titans, I hope they get out of this mess, but it unfortunately doesn’t look likely at the moment.

Sacking Neil Henry was gutless
