or maybe it is due to the fact that a lot of islanders leave due to social-economic status. Perusing a wider bracket of an economy that may provide them with greater opportunities. So since immigration and migration has almost double since the last 30 years many of these families who were having children here or moving them abroad have now turned an age that exposes them to professional sports. This may have something to do with the influx of islander representation in all professional and national sporting teams.
