I was thinking the same West.. Faf is their best scrum-half
The fascinating vision from Wales' last win over NZ, and the lessons to be learned 68 years later
The Boks were missing their best back and best forward (and beat them) along with their first choice scrum-half and prop, against the All Blacks in the Rugby Championship.
Isn’t Faf de Klerk, who played against the ABs, your best scrum-half?
Harry, it is quite convenient for you to leave out that the All Blacks, too, in the Boks WIN that you refer to that Aaron Smith, Sam Whitelick, Dane Coles and Sam Cane.. all starters for the ABs were not playing. Also, Mo’unga may have come on to play that test.. after 5 weeks off.
As an EXPERT your writing should be more balanced.

Worst ABs performance in 15 years, you say wreO1? If that was their worst in 15 years, AND still won against the reigning World Champions, who played one of their best games in 24 months by playing to their DNA by kicking the pill to death, even in the opposition 22! What does that tell you?
Boks coach bemoans 'bounce of the ball' as youngster's massive play secures All Blacks win
What surprised me most was that the Boks went from bad (game 1 vs the WBs) to worse (game 2).
What is the current coaching team actually doing?

The Brumbies, at home, are playing for a strong finish to the season… pride at stake. The Highlanders, too, are playing for a strong finish… but a finals spot at stake.
Guess who will be more hungry?
Super Rugby tipping panel Week 17: Race in three
Nice write-up Geoff.
A good call on Luke Jones at blindside flanker. He looks to have the goods to be a star in the position.
The Wrap: Super Rugby finals spots still open for all teams
Good article Harry.
Nice points Geoff Parkes.
A year out from the WRC, I predict a Boks vs ABs final for the tournament – no matter who wins their pool game.
Springbok report card: How does Rassie rank?
Congratulations SA. Well done.
What the Bok? Saffas stun All Blacks in incredible boilover
Cheika has wasted 3 whole years since 2015 in not grooming/developing another fly-half option.
Will Cheika be sacked before the World Cup?
Well done Zakaia.
A great read.
Fake news: 'Poaching' allegations the latest slight against the All Blacks
The ABs missed Read’s runs out wide then offloading against France.
All Blacks captain Read returns to rugby
Yes Taylorman, without Genia being fit the Wallabies will always be in a mighty big hole against the top sides. Not only for his services at 9 but his leadership qualities.
Before he came off injured in Test 2, it was interesting to see it was Genia (not captain Hooper, vice Foley nor Pocock, Beale or any other senior player) that pulled the lads together for a stern talk.
Results aside, this June series has been excellent for the Wallabies
Faf is a quality player.
Wallabies heartbreak loss to Ireland shows need for a playmaker at No.10
World class number 10, you say Peter Kesby? Would he, if allowed to, be selected for any other Tier 1 test starting team? I think no other Tier 1 coach would start him at all, even putting him on the bench would be a stretch.
The definition of “world class” IMO is that such a player could virtually walk into any starting team he wishes, and allowed, to play for.
Foley is not that player.
Wallabies heartbreak loss to Ireland shows need for a playmaker at No.10
Congrats Ireland. A good tour.
Wallabies 55 points, Ireland 55 points, but Ireland win the Lansdowne Cup
Greg, according to NZ cencus stats there are about half a million people who list themselves as English living in NZ and only 40,000 Tongans.
I was at the Eng-Tonga semifinal World Cup last year in Auckland. I saw a couple of hundred Eng supporters..the rest were Tongans all dressed in red.
Samoan, Tongans and Fijians are evidently very passionate about their union and league teams..wherever they are.
Haynes’ view is the Pacific population in the US will be more passionate and turn up to the games than expatriate English folk.
In my view, its worthwhile trying it out, at least, in the US market.
