When this first came out that two Collingwood players had taken a performance enhancing drug, it was a performance enhancing issue, and Eddie even said if they are caught knowingly 100% full well that they had taken the drug they would be kick out of the club.
Apart from a couple of days on the front page, Collingwood did well to keep the issue of the duo taking ‘performance enhancing drugs” out of the spotlight, and then when the sentence came down it was only then they turned it into a illicit drug issue.

Yes, i saw freo somewhere thereabouts – but not on top of the ladder. They do deserve their eagle rating and could easily be rated as an albatross
Flops and tops: AFL's mid-season rankings
It was hard to judge collingwood, but as i did with the other teams, i judged them on the first half of the season and it was real hard to fault them – even though they have had a fairly easy draw. Saying that, they did come up against north melbourne and gws which arent walk overs.

Although it is easy to justify a double bogey for carlton, plently of people expected them to be sitting around 10-14 position on the ladder, and if you want to compare it to the suns – they were expect to make the finals this year and keep going up the ladder but this did not happen, so thats how i justified carlton to get a bogey and not a double bogey like the suns.

you could say that, but then you could also look at their loses and see that they have yet to be blown away – with a combined losing margin of only 24 points, which could say they have been extremely unlucky in their loses or they just weren’t good enough on the days.. but with that in mind i still stick to my rating of a par for the hawks

I agree with jax that this whole illicit drug issue could be a cover up from what really went wrong with the two players so the Collingwood brand doesn’t get hindered by a performance enhancing issue.
