The reporter never actually called them a “B” side either.
Eddie chose that term in his retort to the journo

Eddie’s been watching too many Cheika post match interviews.

League.
Such a simple game.
And comments from Gus remind us of that.

'I don't want NRL to be feeder system': Gus fires back in Suaalii slanging match after Robbo blasts 'ridiculous comment'

So, we can talk all day about the Wallabies on this site, but talking favourably about the All Blacks is not tolerated? What about any other team? Can we talk in depth about the Boks/Argies/England/France in good light without fear of being accused of hijacking “The Roar”?
We are here for Rugby, for all the good stuff from all teams – good, bad and awesome.
Enjoy it dude.

The Wrap: Resurgent All Blacks secure the Rugby Championship but where to now for each team?

Heres another thought, declare the try by Kellaway “null & void” due to forward pass (Wallabies knew it was forward & took very quick conversion) or a number of other indiscretions that went unchecked. The game result doesnt come down to that one decision, it is the sum total of 80 mins of play, & 80 mins of refs decisions. A few went the Wallabies way too. So how about we stop the incessant ref bashing every time Wallabies lose, Dont let the opposition get 31-13 in front and then blame the ref o at the death of the game when it doesnt work out!

REACTION: 'Disgraceful!': Wallabies stunned as ref 'cracks under pressure,' hands Bledisloe Cup to All Blacks

“Let’s hope we never see that Ref again”
The same ref that let Kellaway score from a forward pass??
The same ref that awarded the final penalty to the Wallabies when the player was off his feet/not supporting his weight?

REACTION: 'Disgraceful!': Wallabies stunned as ref 'cracks under pressure,' hands Bledisloe Cup to All Blacks

Great game by both combatants!
Wallabies showed huge heart to take the lead in the dying minutes after a deficit at 31-13.
But thats the problem. Let the All Blacks take a big lead and then lose by a ref decision at the death.

Lots of dubious decisions in this game, and a few went the Wallabies way. The forward pass that saw Kellaway go over the line brought the Wallabies back into the game from 13-31 down and perhaps that final penalty shouldnt have been given (player not supporting his weight?) etc etc.

Full marks to the Wallabies for bringing the brutal that they promised.
Lets get the ref outta the equation!

REACTION: 'Disgraceful!': Wallabies stunned as ref 'cracks under pressure,' hands Bledisloe Cup to All Blacks

“Asked what he needed to change in the current All Blacks performance, Ryan said: “We’ve got to stop mauls”
How about “We need to stop trying to score of every play, have more discipline and hold the ball”
Too many players trying to be the hero of the moment every time they get hands on ball, instead of holding the ball for prolonged periods, building pressure and THEN striking when the opposition cracks.

Rugby News: 'Pack dented, and the jersey' - new coach's plan to save ABs, Mo'unga's Foster verdict, Dagg bags union

“everything looks hurried, trying to score every time they get the ball and not playing the longer game of building pressure”

This, right there, is exactly the way I see it.
Where has the All Blacks of old gone?

Little heart, zero discipline: The falsest of All Black dawns collapses in a heap

England played well, won, and deserved the win.

The winner gets to grin, the loser gets to eat pie, humbly, tells the press that “England were the better team today but we will be back & better next week etc etc, and if he’s a good sport, doesnt bitch about the refs (TMO included).

This is how its done in Rugby.

'You're not so smart now': Crowing Eddie Jones sticks it to Aussies after silencing '48,000 fans full of drink'

Why is that in any other ball-sport, that if you show dissent or call the ref/umpire names or abuse them, you are heavily penalised or even sent packing……..But not Tennis?
Sure, they have code violations and will dock a point etc, but it seems that it takes a lot before they will issue those penalties.

'Brought tennis to the lowest level': Aussie icon's blistering serve for Kyrgios

Que the “refs robbed us” that follows a loss.
But ignore the calls that went our way. And there were a few.
Swings & roundabouts.
BTW if you let the other team get a good lead on you by halftime, dont be complaining about a refs decision that could decide the outcome.
Either you/your team control the outcome or you dont.

'Did you guys see that?': McKellar fuming over Kiwi ref's missed call, says game is 'hard to follow' over card rules

Love your work Johnny……..
BUT……
Go the Blues! ????

Why this Cantabrian is backing the Brumbies

“6 phase or 10mtrs for pen adv.”
Nope.
Because that will just mean that the players with the pen advantage will just do a deliberate knock-on etc to ensure they get the penalty kick.

'What do we do next?': How Mo'unga and the Crusaders sucked the life out of Reds

@savant – Yeah, cos there’s absolutely no bias what-so-ever on an Aust broadcast is there?

The commentators (Fans with microphones or FWM) are practically coaching the Aust teams on air through out the whole match. And watch what happens if a Kiwi opponent infringes and it is missed, the FWM go nuts.

But nothing is more telling than when the TMO is reviewing an incident, and depending on who is on the receiving end of the card, the FWM opinions are unashamedly biased.

Kinda embarrassing, especially when this is broadcast world-wide.

'What do we do next?': How Mo'unga and the Crusaders sucked the life out of Reds

Lets give credit where credit is due.
I have enjoyed the clashes between Au & Nz teams this season, and, at the beginning of the trans-Tasman clashes, I remember thinking “Nz teams will remind Au how fast & furious this game is”.
Wrong.
This has been the most competitive showing by Au teams (as a whole) I can remember, and it is great.
Au teams have improved, a lot. They have figured out that fast line speed/rush attack and speed to the breakdown works against Kiwi sides and cuts down their attack, works well. They are fitter too, most still running at the 80 min mark.
And I think it is insulting to not recognise the improvement in teams from Au by saying Nz teams are just crap ATM.

Alarm bells should be ringing in NZ

The underarm serve and faking it, are not illegal but. like cricket, go against the spirit of the game.
Win with yr talent mate, you’ve got plenty of it.

Fair or unfair? Kyrgios throws a dummy with his underarm serve

Well yeah, we all know the call against NZ was wrong, no debate.
But NZ allowed a bad call to decide their outcome. All the “what if’s” etc dont happen – ever!
What does happen is what the team actually do to win the game, and the AB’s didnt do enough to win it. What if a pass wasnt knocked on just before the try line….what if the forward pass was seen by the linesman….what if the ref got the call right/wrong at the 79th min….

You aren't imagining it... proof the Wallabies were hard done by

I really dislike turning the post-game talk on the ref. Yeah, I know, some refs are great, some are meh, and some sub meh.
But the team needs to be good enough to not let refs decisions lose their game, even in the really tight games. NZ failed to beat the Lions in that final game, not because Poite made an egregious decision, but because the All Blacks allowed a bad decision to take the game from them.
If you are playing a Nth Hemisphere team and/or Nth Hemi ref, prepare for the interpretation of the rules. Know your ref, be prepared.
Also, lets remember the calls that go against the other team. Swings & roundabouts! We tend to make it look like all the bad calls go only against our team on the day…..just saying….

You aren't imagining it... proof the Wallabies were hard done by

What are we all scared of?
That the sep/tanks will steal our right to host the world cup, expose the game to a country of 330 million and then next minute, get better than us or (horror of horrors) the All Blacks?
I reckon change is good. Let the world see our great game.
And then let them try to master it…..at their peril !!

Rugby Australia faces rival bid from USA to host 2027 World Cup

17 pt margin isnt a thrashing dude. Two tries (converted) and a penalty was the gap.

NZ View: Wallabies' 'first half was a joke', 'own worst enemies', while Foster decision 'puzzling'

Yep, calling the kiwi coach “bro” when chatting on air……Priceless.

“Meanwhile in camp Allblack, Sharon Frizell litterally assulted a woman and hes fine to play.”

Check yr facts mate. Shannon has been stood down for two matches. He has already served one match and will miss this weekends game at Eden Park against the Wallabies.
