The first of two regular season match-ups has just been run and won.
Durant ended up with 33 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists whilst James tallied 34 points, 3 boards and 3 dimes.
The biggest point, though, the scoreboard – OKC defeated the Heat in a blowout in Miami.
The Heat went up 22-4 but from then on, KD and his crew climbed all over the hosts.
Late in the third term it looked like a streetball-like duel was breaking out between KD and James.
But with Ibaka, Fisher, Lamb and Jackson chipping in, Oklahoma City ran away with the win.
So, with both players performing to their usual elite levels but the Thunder getting a commanding road win, Kevin Durant takes the points in this battle – but there will be many more battles before the war is won!!

Who owns the throne: James or Durant?
Mushi, I think I will have to bow to you on this one.
It’s indisputable that Johnson is among the elite wideouts in football but Gordon’s play in Cleveland has been remarkable – especially as you said, with the dodgy play from the Browns’ QB’s.
Point made, mate.
All hail Detroit's Calvin 'Megatron' Johnson
Ben,
I appreciate that George is a standout perimeter defender as well as a talented offensive force.
However, on his Pacers squad he has more than enough help.
Stephenson, Granger, Hibbert, West, Watson and Hill are all more than capable of picking up some scoring slack whilst George can also afford to gamble and be aggressive on defence as he has Hibbert and West protecting the paint.
Love – whilst not an elite defender by any means – cleans up a lot of defensive possessions with his rebounding. Let’s not forget that.
George or Love at three is certainly a toss-up but for mine, Love gets the nod as he’s able to put up the numbers that he does without significant help.
